Cyberpunk 2077

So what I'm commenting on is weeks old, but . . . As someone who actually played this on a console, Cyberpunk was never "absolutely unplayable" on previous generation consoles. I still have a PS4. Not even a PS4 Pro, just a regular ass PS4. Yeah. Sure. It's not the same as playing on the PC. That was basically going to be a given. But it's perfectly playable. Even enjoyable.

Anyone who thinks it was unplayable is being a baby.

At this point Cyberpunk reminds me of Assassin's Creed Unity.
Just hope this clusterfuck turns into a good game in the near future.

Thankfully I held off on purchasing Cyberpunk until real players had a chance to test the whole game.
Dodged a real big bullet right there.
The game is perfectly fine with visual glitches the most i have faced on PC nad moving faster around the map that the game takes some time to load the area.

It is not a bad game, and real players like it, and think it is a good game that needs some adjustments...

I've seen vids where the AI is dumber than a rock.
And they claimed that AI was good.

STALKER shadow of Chernobyl has better AI and that game was made 15 years ago.

It depends on the AI.
The traffic AI is stupid as fuck. The AI while fighting can be pretty damn good. They know how to use cover properly, the AI that is Melee and uses cyber enhancements are damn good at using it as well.
I learned that the hard way...
AI in games has been largely stagnating for the last twenty years, as developers don't bother to pay for top talent to make it good, they prefer to have disposable peons script everything.
This too.
Hell, use MILSIM games like Arma as na example. Yhe AI on that is still not the smartest. The smartest AI i have seen on games are often war RTS games, and even then Strike Force 2 has had the most realistic and best.

Ironically Shadow of Chernobyl had many bugs and errors as well, though the creators ironed them out pretty quick instead of making excuses.
And for a 2007, the AI is extremely intelligent.
Animal AI is extremely realistic.

Again, AI in games has stayed the same with some games doing better then others.
Also, CDPR is working heavily to improve the game, and has come out to say what has gone on. Not like they lied about it being fine or anything. They have a lot to fix and are working to get them fixed. They plan to have the game refined and good again before they release any extra content...

Also, plenty of AAA games have horrible AI. Nothing new...

The problem with realistic AI is that they are, as the term implies, rather difficult to deal with. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and F.E.A.R. come to mind. Normies hate it when their power fantasies get interrupted by a well-coordinated team of actual elites.

Additionally, good AIs cost development-time and thus money.

And even then Cyberpunk has some damn good AI when it comes to AI using thier abilities against you and any melee oriented ones. And I am on normal difficulty. I would hate it on harder

Even the fucking in STALKER are death incarnate.
The elite troops of each faction. . .
Instant doom.

Some good advice: When doing the Point of No Return mission, side with the Arasakas first.

The other endings will have much higher impact if you do.

The 1.1 Patch has dropped... Which will not only offer many stability improvements but also provide a foundation for future patchening.

Also random bit of behind the scenes pertaining to Johnny Silverhands original concept art.

Keanu Reeves was a definite improvement.

I dunno, Razorfist being Johnny Silverhand would've been pretty fun. This said, I prefer the og-design, namely the David Bowie-look.

CDPR lied about many things regarding Cyberpunk 2077; there's whole hour-long documentaries about it on Youtube:

Honestly, no offence; but I've gotten to the point where seeing you defending a piece of media is an immediate red flag that it's probably terrible (or at least, that I would consider it terrible), because this is far from the first time where that's been the case.

Besides RWBY, what other media?
And my argument was not based on what they promised, but what I have experienced personally in the game...

The Star Wars sequels, for one; I've seen you try to defend them. Mind you, I'm not trying to rake you over the coals for it; I've just noticed a pattern is all. One that make me want to use you as a barometer for things I should avoid; because if you like something, odds are I probably won't.

I have simple tastes in movies.
Hell, even I admit TRoS was horrible. Not the worst I have seen, but it ruined parts I liked about TFA and TLJ.

The rollercoaster for CDPR just keeps going.

Hackers stole the source code for Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 along with tribes of other data including accounting, HR and other corporate data as well as unreleased and never released material for various older games.

Apparently it was a ransomware style attack though CDPR has backups and stated they won't pay the hackers who dud steal the data.
