Sci-Fi Tech Combat Armor Aesthetics and Utility In Fallout and Science Fiction

Its a good suit of armor, I won't deny that. But I wouldn't say perfect.

I am talking about visuals.
Hyperion Phase suit/Space Catholic power armor, Culture Gellsuit/any number of A.I. equipped nanotech infused self-repairing power armors that can recycle your body waste/keep you in stasis or alive for millennia in the depths of outer space/restore you to life from a bloody lump of flesh would be perfect.
The list includes Mike O'Neill's Green Demon power armor from Legacy of the Aldenata, too.
Those are perfect functionality-wise.

But, this has turned into a discussion about visuals, though.

I have always liked the exosuits from Deus Ex MD the Templar power armor in Deus Ex invisible war were also cool back in the day but those graphics aged badly.

Clearly an exosuit although the crotch is alarmingly unprotected.

The bigger exosuit not a fan of the feet since they look weird. But overall it's pretty cool.

I always thought the stalker power armor was pretty neato. NBC protection, frame to support weight and enhance strength, integrated body armor over quite a lot of the body, etc.
Valuable tool in the otherwise hostile and unpredictable zone.

Always found Deus Ex to be one of the more grounded setting but I could also see us having a lot of stuff in it 50 to 60 years from now.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise. ;D
Its the end-tier armor that is good at pretty much everything but because it's a janky prototype made in a ukrainian garage, you can't sprint while wearing it. You can however get an upgrade which re-enables sprint in the third game.

They do have a lot of really advanced tech in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. verse, something to do with discoveries made in the exclusion zone from what I recall.

Yeah a lot of stuff is learned from the anomalies/artifacts.
For example gauss rifles are basically impossible IRL due to energy storage limitations. But fragments of artifacts can be used to power such weapons and make them practical!

Stalker is literally Roadside Picnic the game, with some changes.
it wasn't just the experiments done in the zone but all sorts of other weird shit brought upon by the Noosphere, or whatever replaced the wierd effects of the aliens.
In the short story, the Zones are literally alien camping sites and we are like a pack of wild foxes rummaging through their very dangerous and indistinguishable from magic tech trash.
And yeah, I remember seeing a few cool bits of Armor on some NPCs from Monolith IIRC were the ones with those.

In between the first game crashing like all fuck.

I remember watching the Guyver movie as a kid and enjoying it,because the armor looked cool and was so powerful.

The noosphere is a real thing in Stalker-game-verse, yus! But we don't exactly know what happened to the scientists after they died. While they were alive they had god-like powers, could control the zone and all that. But afterwards it seems the zone took on a will of it's own, a lot more random and indirected.
