> "the government can't restrict your speech. but other citizens can with the govt acting as enforcer."

It is simply a bypass that gets around the law

Eventually this might get to the supreme court and they will probably strike it down.
But typically this takes many years to climb up to the supreme court rather than 5 minutes. If it even happens
Look, there's two things here. First, defamation is one of the very few exceptions to free speech. It's very, very limited, allowing lying about public officials, mistakes, and a bunch of other stuff. But Alex Jones just went full stupid and did manage to do it, which is difficult to do. He also fucked over his own defense as well. He has a chance on appeal, but this isn't about hate speech, this is defamation. I don't even like that defamation is a thing to be clear, but it is a vastly different thing than hate speech, which is what we are talking about here.

As for the companies doing it at government bidding: That's a huge fucking deal, and they are being sued for that now. Alex Berenson won back his twitter for that shit. A state AG revealed this shit as well. The issue was that no one new about it, so it was done secretly, so they couldn't sue until now. Lawsuits are going right now that are deposing Jen Psaki, for example.

Alright. public college campuses regularly kick out people for "hate speech". Despite the fact that they are funded by the taxpayer. And are considered a form of government (school boards are elected. and you colleges field their own police)
They get sued for this and lose. Pretty frequently.
Yeah I think we're at the point where we can safely say the First Amendment is under grievous assault by the Government.
The first amendment (and the rest) has always been under assault by government. But the first amendment also has a winning record vs the government, unlike the fourth amendment or until recently the second.

The last thing we want is a constitutional convention, because they people who do it will want power, and will riddle the constitution with holes. It'll be "Congress shall make no law restricting free speech without cause" or some bullshit.

Ant way, wanna bet one of the people he shot up groomed him?
My bet? Dude knew/thought he could avoid a hate crimes charge just by saying he's non-binary, which carries the death penalty. Hopefully, this case will cause a reckoning against such bullshit.

Well, it may be true. If we assume that the shooting was caused by the "mental illness" (a typical leftist excuse when they don't want to admit to hate crimes against the white people), well, transgender people have a very high rate of mental illnesses - either as a cause or a consequence of their transgenderism.

So yeah. What Abhorsen is saying is not impossible or unlikely, but it is also possible he genuinely does identify as non-binary.

Completely baseless assumption.
I will throw in another piece of material that points to a different theory, one which somewhat fits his claim.

Judge for yourself. Dude is cray-cray. Faking a bomb threat against own family and stating suicidal intentions is not something one would expect from a wannabe crusader against degeneracy type.

Also found some more interesting info that got public:
Apparently he had a name change, and he was bullied for being a homo in the past. That's an argument for the non-binary claim to have something behind it...
And there's more....
Aaron Brink is a former mixed martial arts fighter and adult film performer with the stage name “Dick Delaware” who is the father of accused Colorado Springs mass shooter Anderson Aldrich.

Aldrich’s dad has a colorful and checkered history that includes crystal meth addiction, mixed martial arts, porn, and time in prison. The name change petition, obtained by the Denver Gazette, and written by Aldrich’s maternal grandmother Pamela Pullen, reads, “minor wishes to protect himself and his future from any connections to birth father and his criminal history. Father has had no contact with minor for several years.” ”
In February 2022, she wrote, “Hello Sisters. Can anyone please recommend a great trauma/ptsd therapist?” and indicated it was for a 21-year-old, which Aldrich then was. She asked in May 2022, “Can anybody refer my son to a private boxing coach? He’s 6’6” tall and hits like a freight train. Cannot find a good gym or anyone serious. He has made huge life changes and needs this!”
Mental health issues history confirmed.
Special bonus for the "non present father who's a junkie and a criminal" bingo for mental illness...

Look, I don't see anything there which says he was gay or bullied for being gay or any evidence that he even previously claimed to be non-binary. Just that he got harassed online and had a shit dad (which is why he changed his name), and the video that he posted called "aisan homosexual gets molested". Look, do I ultimately care about the guy at all, or his reasoning? Not really. Guy was crazy, so went on shooting spree. Maybe he invented a justification for his shooting spree, maybe he didn't. IDK. But the two biggest possibilities right now are that he's either lying about being non-binary to escape the death penalty (i.e. it's brand new as of arrest), or he wasn't lying about it, and he shot the place up for some unrelated reason.

Reposting from the other thread.

So has anyone else noticed that the left is stoking violence against Conservatives by vilifying them every time something like this happens, and then doesn't retract or apologize for being wrong when it comes out that their narrative was made up?

Yesterday the leftwing was claiming all Republicans and Conservatives were responsible for the Club Q shooting and that the shooter was a far right terrorist, and calling for all major conservative speakers to be held personally responsible for the violence as "stochastic terrorism".

Today it comes out the shooter was a mentally deranged Alphabet person and it really had nothing to do with Conservatives saying it's wrong to mutilate children's genitals.

To me, it seems pretty clear the left is priming their base to be more open to the idea of violence against Republicans/Conservatives.

At what point do Conservatives start responding in kind? Political killings against Conservatives have been happening for years now, and it feels like most conservatives are patiently waiting chickens while the leftist farmer sharpens their ax.

More and more it seems widescale political violence is inevitable.

"Under his name" =\= "he posted it". How many people open a YT accounts under IRL name and post mocking videos of a theme similar to a campaign of bullying against themselves?
Aldrich's request for a name change came months after Aldrich was apparently targeted by online bullying. A website posting from June 2015 that attacked a teen named Nick Brink suggests they may have been bullied in high school. The post included photos similar to ones of the shooting suspect and ridiculed Brink over their weight, lack of money and what it said was an interest in Chinese cartoons.

Additionally, a YouTube account was opened in Brink's name that included an animation titled “Asian homosexual gets molested."
What's being implied here is that the bullies opened it.

Yeah, this looks like it is a case of non-hetero on non-hetero violence now, from someone who may have been bullied about it before, and who's dad definitely was a piece of shit that likely contributed to this scum's mental state.

Need to see how far back he was supposedly claiming to be gay or non-binary, but it may be more than an attempt to avoid the death penalty.

I also want to see the stuff from the El Paso County DA about why he was not in jail from the shit in the summer.

This implies that stochastic terrorism is a real thing, just a bipartisan one and not only from the right.

That's wrong, because the entire concept is, from the moment it was coined, absolute bullshit. "Stochastic terrorism" exists as a term to do nothing more than sling mud at the other party, drive conventional political engagement amoung your side's partisans and peel off a few moderates who would have otherwise voted for the other side or not voted for you.

The central premise of the theory is that this sort of violence isn't just an incidentally side effect of overheated rethoric or of crazy people latching onto something to justify their actions, but that it's actually the intended goal. Per this theory, Matt Walsh and Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk and whoever the current baddies are (the original blog post that coined the term named Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly as the puppetmasters, just in case you needed more evidence for its absurdity), are highly firing each other right now, because they got results. "5 dead gay people, woooh!" They're saying. All of the millions and millions of dollars they've spent, the countless hours on air, the fire they've drawn from the media, the social consequences, the political consequences (since of course eventually people will figure what they're doing), it was all worth it, because they....killed 5 random nobodies in Colorado. Surely, with just a few million more dollars, they can do more, and more, until eventually the body count will reach into the two digit range! And from there, the three digit range, and then, if they can scrape together roughly.....uh, let's see, carry the two.....multiply by 6.....ah. With results like this, if they can spend a mere all of the money that exists on earth and then some, they might be able to finally inspire enough violence to get rid of all of the gays.

When you put it like that, it's obvious absurd. The return on investment for this is pathetically low, and even lower given that there's no even remotely plausible route that this escalates into any actual, meaningful results, either in terms of total body count, specific targets being eliminated, or social momentum swinging their way. This theory only makes sense if you assume the other side are just cartoon strawman drivenly by blind hatred and don't care about anything other than causing pain to their enemies, no matter how little. And only the most blinkered partisan or uncaring moderates are dumb/misinformed enough to do that, but those people vote/donate/etc and that's all that matters.

Yes, some tiny, tiny portion of those people will go more than just donate, but it's not going to hurt the dems since the media will sweep it under the rug, so they'll keep pushing this message. But since they're not as dumb as thier voters, they also know that actually inspiring violence based on this has a terrible ROI and won't bother pushing it either.

Recall that there was a devil worshipping mass shooting Troon that ventilated a Stem middle school to impress >HIS groomer boyfriend three years ago. And multiple "enbys" and troons have attacked people with axes, cleaver knives and set fuckers on for misgendering them.

Trannies also rape and batter their partners to percentages higher than is present in places like Somalia where they vaginally circumcise 9 year old girls with glass.

So I'm willing to bet it was a breakup gone bad and this dude had a boyfriend in there or half the victims were pedos. Until move evidence comes out anyway.
