Argentina had its "day" and fucked it up. Hell, they've had their "day" more than once since the first time, and they've still fucked it up.
Honestly Argentina has the best geography in south america. Their far away from any real threats, they have great growing land plenty of natural reasources and have the best internal water ways that allow them to get goods from the interior to the world ocean really quickly.
That gives them a much larger margin for eror then lets say poland a country that has died when their leadership wasn't up to snuff. So they can fuck up for awhile but get more chances because of their geography. Though for the life of me I have no idea why their so insistant on the fucking Falklands when the real prize is to be gained by fighting a war with Chile seriously if they beat Chile they can get control over the stratgic and profitable strait of mageleon. You get more land then fighting the brits for the falklands, more resources control over a major area and you have a built in Ally in Bolivia who would cry tears of blood for a chance to have actual sea access instead of being landlocked.

You know, I don't mean to be a dick or anything, but I have to say it. China, as a country, has totally defied my expectations, in a really bad way.
This may sound autistic as fuck, but when I was a little tiny kid, my mental image of China was this beautiful and exotic country with a graceful-sounding language, ladies in Qipao dresses, pagodas and shit. Boy, was I fucking clueless. Street videos from China are as horrifying to me as vids of Skid Row, Detroit, or San Francisco. The people don't speak Mandarin. They grunt Mandarin. They're some of the most fundamentally demoralized people I have ever seen. Everyone chain-smokes like a chimney. They eat rice dumplings from street vendors fried in oil scooped out of sewers and stored in phenolic-lined carcinogenic drums, cook dogs alive, fish out of rivers full of mine tailings, and wear masks to cope with apocalyptic levels of smog. All the buildings are cheaply constructed out of what is practically rubble under a thin facade. The Party underlings are a bunch of Triad-looking thugs in puffer jackets. I have run into these people IRL and they are some of the most hilariously entitled motherfuckers you will ever meet on this planet. The way they walk, the way they swagger, you'd think that they expected you to literally roll out a red carpet for them. They think they own everything. It's insane.
Just knowing that these WEF and Club of Rome motherfuckers want everywhere on the surface of this planet to adopt the Chinese model of an authoritarian commie surveillance state full of teeming dystopian Judge Dredd bughive arcologies is, on its own, enough for me to want to oppose them with everything I can muster. Fuck that.
My advice to sane, intelligent people from China is to get the fuck out of that country while you still can, before it turns into even more of a Kafkaesque nightmare than it is already.
