Absolutely. Even if it doesn't ascend right away (which I'm betting it won't), it can always try again a few centuries down the line.

Mostly, I'm more insistent on a temporary fragmentation (and possible "Third Opium War" that ends much the same way as the first two, minus the opium) occurring, with reunification being brought back onto the table when its foreign oppressors who capitalize on the current regime's self-destruction are finally spent. That, I believe, will have to wait for the end of America's "Dominate" period.
In a world that is in chaos two men one mission Jason Statham and Jackie Chan are Shanghai Buddies...in OPIUM WAR part 3[loud glass shattering noises]this time its personal.....Bu Universal Pictures exclusively in theaters summer of 2028....🤣🤣I had to

On the other hand, we also know that there’s a push for neo-feudalism and population reduction under the guise of ‘saving the planet’. Plus, we’ve seen that the political elected aren’t quite as competent as they seem to think they are (but more competent then we are given they’ve gotten away with so much so far). So I wouldn’t put it past them to let such a disease spread, thinking they could use it for their purposes…only for thing so spring wildly out of their control as the disease does it’s own thing.
Stupidity and arrogance are a dangerous combination.

That's certainly possible I'm just saying China will absolutely reform at some point after any theoretical collapse. The time frame for such to happen is up in the air but it will happen.
That can be prolonged by using Chinese tactics they loved using on us, their neighbors. Assassination and funding rebellions and sabotage. With toxic water and lack of farmlands it will take a long time. Because we will bomb into the Stone Age any group that starts getting big to stop any unification.

Yes, because that won’t lead to resentment. And the USA has been sooooo successful with that in the past! (Gestures towards Asia, the Middle East and South America)

Our current leadership is garbage, and because of said leadership its pretty much impossible for us to actually win a war. It doesn't matter how much better our technology is, how much larger our economy is, how much larger our population is. Victory is impossible when the people in charge don't want you to win.

The mainland Chinese are xenophobic assholes. They already hate us and we return the sentiment gladly. Everywhere they go they try to subvert, destabilize and change into the hell that is West Taiwan under the CCP. Fuck them and their resentment. I'll settle for their Fear and Terror.

The thing about China is it always reunifies and it's always supremely arrogant and racist. So avoiding them being resentful probably isn't really possible. If they aren't the undisputed center of humanity they are neat certainly going to be pissed about it.

Exactly. They slaughtered and assimilated the other ethnic groups in the mainland. The majority of those wearing ethnic costumes for tourists are Han actors or surviving members of that ethnic group forced to dance and smile. Because their families' lives depend on them doing what the CCP want.

Ethnic cultures and religions are suppressed, the children sent to Han cultural indoctrination camps. Their populations are kept in assigned counties with no right to leave unless they bribe an CCP official for a travel passport.

What's funny about that is the fact that Han Chinese don't have much of a culture anymore; not since Mao did his level best to destroy as much of it as he could, in order to replace it all with blind worship of/obedience to himself the state. Most of what's left only survives because of those who fled the slaughter.

I think traditional Chinese culture will “somehow” make a miraculous comeback after the regime falls. It might take a hundred years to make that comeback, but All Under Heaven cannot be so easily destroyed.

As evidenced by the Greeks, it’s god damn difficult to wipe out a culture that has existed for thousands of years.

the recovery cant really start until the CCP is gone.

Given that hundreds of millions of Chinese have been converting to Christianity, a post-CCP Chinese culture will probably look very different.

I've heard that the combat effectiveness or pack thereof of Kung fu is directly related to Mao's insanity. No idea if it's true but in 30 years of martial arts I've never met or seen a Kung fu practitioner who can actually fight. Which seems to be a pretty daming piece of evidence.
