Zhongrong International Trust Corporation is missing payments on maturing financial products, worrying investors. Owned by the far larger Zhongzhi Enterprise Group, a large Chinese Financial Conglomerate, Zhongrong is believed to be facing a liquidity crunch over these missed financial trust payments.

While there are potential fears over greater concerns regarding China's slowing economy and the overall financial sector, other analysts have pointed out the vast majority of the owners of Zhongrong Trusts that are at risk are smaller Chinese companies and retail investors... so HA!

Reuters said:
Topsperity Securities said roughly 60 companies had disclosed that they owned Zhongrong's trust products, and a majority of them were small companies with less than 10 billion yuan of market value.

The broker's analysts say default in some products "doesn't mean overall risk in the trust industry."

"It's more like emotional disturbance, while there may be short-term impacts on the finance sector and a few companies involved," they said.

It is now apparently illegal to be upset in China; and there are many, many reasons for the Chinese to be upset. Unemployment rates are so high the government refuses to report them anymore, two of the biggest real estate companies in China (who by themselves represent the bulk of the country's economy) are going under, and the country just experienced the most disastrous flood in over a hundred years; but they can't be upset about any of that, or else the CCP will make them disappear.

I think it's safe to say that the China's collapse is not only inevitable; it's already been happening for a while.
