Article originally posted by CNN... It discusses how (thanks to the pandemic) China's Box Office has surpassed America's for the first time ever and by over a billion dollars.

It then further expands on how this may result on Hollywood having to please and cater to the Chinese Audiences and CCP more so they can afford to continue producing hugely expensive blockbuster films.

They can't, because then they would need to replace special effects with good writing and they simply are not capable of that.
Then considering the recent destruction of the theaters thanks to the virus, we may see a massive downsizing amongst film studios; because China only allows a certain number of foreign films into their market each year, and streaming cannot make up for all the lost domestic revenue.

I'm wondering, why aren't the other nations instructing their ships to ram chinese boats whenever they get near something they are not allowed to? The chinese leadership only understands violence and the threat thereof.

Honestly a cheaper solution is to use all the leftover Mk46 torpedo stocks from the Cold War that various nations almost certainly have lying around

Some of them do, as far as I'm aware; it doesn't stop them though. They just keep sending out more ships.

Ironically, this is both cheerfully and depressing. Why?

Because it both shows how bad it could be but isn't here, and how much worse it might yet get.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
It's made in China. You get what you ordered especially if you want cheap shit made by low wage workers.

I heard wealthy Chinese get their healthcare from India as a result of healthcare in the mainland being shit which is what wealthy Africans especially the dictators do with Western healthcare as they fuck their constituents over.

Y'know, in a more just world, people like these won't be able to get healthcare outside their nations because everyone prohibits their doctors to work on them...

BBC apparently got cancelled in CHI-NA for "seriously violating" China's news regulations on "the requirement that news should be truthful and fair."

Some say this is in response to a February 3rd BBC report detailing accounts of torture and sexual violence perpetrated against Uighers, Uigher women specifically.

Others say it has more to do with the fact that a week ago the United Kingdom's own news regulator, The National Radio and Television Administration, revoked the license of Chinese state owned broadcaster, China Global Television Network (CGTN) for violating the UK Law on state-backed ownership.

The US State Department issued a statement calling the move "troubling."

Sink their ships. They do not understand any other language.

Pretty much. Follow proper procedure, fire a warning shot, if they don't stand down, sink them. Then you force them back to your port, where you seize their vessels, and either throw them in the slammer or deport them.

What's the Chinese Navy going to do, send a fleet to Galapagos?

Sure, they could send a couple of small/mid-sized ships, but not enough to keep the South Americans from fighting back effectively, much less if the US tells them 'get away from our side of the Pacific.'
