Considering he was never fully investigate, let alone charged with anything; from the law's perspective, nothing's happened yet. If he were investigated, charged, and convicted of a crime while president, even if the crime had been committed before he entered office; wouldn't that still be justification enough for impeachment? I mean at bare minimum, it would be more substantial then the Democrats' justification for impeaching Trump.

The thing is, what's being done to a lot of the people who were at the Capitol *now* is also illegal. They're just politically acceptable targets.
