Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

Two Twinks and a Porcine (Animarchy History, some Yank named Falcon and Lazerpig) having a Hot Tub Roundtable discussing the Ukraine War. Now ask yourself, are these people ignorant or evil?

Takes them about twenty minutes to get on topic... uhhh I've only seen the first half hour. They dunk on Mark Felton, apparently he's only an honorary Doctorate? They also started discussing how Russia using radar beams to guide missiles to targets in Ukraine finally.

Don't know much about this cretins except that if they "dunk" on Felton they are just the adjective I just used. The British historian has a level of professionalism that many lack in the YouTube platform.

Drachinifel? Perun? C.W. Lemione? The Chieftain? These are all YouTube personalities that are rather professional too. Animarchy actually isn’t too bad either.

I mean, he has quality videos sure.
But Felton hasn't made a video like Animarchy. Animarchy makes you cry tears of freedom watching his Enterprise series.
Lazerpig knows what he is and embraces the shitposting culture.
Animarchy tries to keep it somewhat down to earth on his channel.

Now, as Tiamat mentioned. Perun is THE best there is in perfesosionalism about this conflict. That is due to the fact that he doesn't talk about what he has or anything, and breaks down a lot of things that actually make sense.

Of course you get the people like The Chieftain who has kept somewhat quiet on the topic of the conflict (his non military employers being Wargamming and him being TXNG) but he has been unbiased.
You have Mikitary Avaitaion History akak Bismarck
I can keep naming.

The point being that the whole thing Lazerpig, Animarchy an the American guy did was a direct shit at coachredpills horrible roundtables.

Again, one has to think more like Putin and his circle and less like a Westerner to understand. Doesn't make it better of course.

The Russian military alone has suffered issues of corruption dating back to the time of the Tsars. While unfortunately corruption is an issue that permeates all societies including the U.S., Russia's problems are systemic and endemic and that isn't going away anytime soon.
Marquis de Custine in his "Letters from Russia" after visiting in 1839 wrote, that officials get so small salary, that hey MUST take bribes if they have families.
And,as long as they take according to rank, nobody care.

Congratulations to Steven Seagal.

He's been awarded the prestigious Humanitarian Award, Russia's Order of Friendship.

Ukraines supply situation must be an absolute hellscape for the guys in charge of its logistics, Considering they have equipment from all over the world that all has completely different standards.

I don't think they will care until tje war ends.
Then they will start to care

Keeping their forces supplied has to be a nightmare though, They would need a metric fuck ton of all kinds of ammo just for small arms and then you have ammo for IFV's APC's and Tanks nevermind the absolute cluster fuck replacement parts must be.

They probably keep it separated based on units.
Only mix and kaych if absolutely necessary

When we fought against Serbs, we had a crapton of Soviet weapons, Yugoslav weapons, homemade weapons, imported Warsaw Pact weaponry, imported South American weaponry, civilian hunting and self-defense weaponry, converted civilian stuff, repaired museum weaponry... basically everything that could be captured from Yugoslav Army, scraped within the country, found on the black market or secretly imported, because the West established the embargo and wouldn't help. And we still made do.

So don't worry about Ukraine so much. They will make do.

Whoa... It was being driven by a mobilized Soldier?!
I don't know what's strange about it, that's what the mobilization of conscripts is about, that the vehicles that are standing in reserve that after the mobilized are trained, they are manned by conscripts.

The devil is in the details, as usual.
According to the post he isn't a driver, but a commander.
Commander of Russia's best tank model in the war that they don't have many of, not some reserve T-72, T-62, or some second line APC.
That's something you would expect a veteran professional to command, not a mobik of 6 months.

This is a bad sign, fortunately only for Russia.

For Ukraine, it's a good sign because it means the Russians are forced to use conscripts as tank commanders. That is, the professional and veteran soldiers are either largely over that they have to load whoever they can into tanks, or those who are still alive have to deal with training the other mobilized ones that's why they were pulled out of the vehicles. Whatever the reason, this means that the more effective vehicles will be lost at a faster rate.
