I think China is looking at all the problems Russia is having and getting the idea that taking part of Siberia might not get the world mad at them like trying to invade Taiwan would. And Xi could totally sell the invasion of Siberia to the Chinese public.

Why stop there lol? The US should also annex Australia and New Zealand. Or at least Australia should annex New Zealand. Bulgaria should annex North Macedonia, Romania should annex Moldova, Germany should annex Austria, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, based Denmark should annex cuck Sweden, Finland should annex Estonia, Thailand should annex Laos, Spain should annex Portugal, Albania should annex Kosovo, Serbia should annex Montenegro, China should annex Taiwan, Indonesia should annex Malaysia (or the other way around lol), Egypt should annex Libya and Sudan, Algeria should annex Tunisia, et cetera.
Putin is opening up a real Pandora's box here lol. It's just sad that so many people are getting killed--a lot of Russians on both sides, according to Putin lol.
Yes Russia has Nukes. But do said nukes still work? What we have seen from the state of Russian equipment as a whole. I don't think their nukes are as combat ready as the Russians think they are.

You know, I do wonder at what point you'll stop doubling down, and consider the fact that you may be wrong.
But just how worth it would this war have been for Russia? Is getting some additional agricultural land and natural resources really worth the lives of hundreds of thousands of dead Russians? Russia won't be getting that much additional human capital from outside of the Donbass (and Russia could have gotten the Donbass itself without invading the rest of Ukraine) due to mass flight and mass emigration. So, overall, this war is going to be a damp squib for Russia even in the event of "victory". It will have hundreds of thousands of deaths, huge Western sanctions, and not all that much to actually show for this. It will remind me of France's World War I victory, where France lost so many men that in terms of net population the regaining of Alsace-Lorraine simply restored France's pre-war population levels.

@Zachowon - Moscov could still have hidden superarmy.Not probable,but possible.But,if they fought with all they have,then they lost.Unless USA decide to throw Ukraine under Putin bus for some reason.

Russia can import Chinese guns, no? Or at least try to do so. Or Indian guns, though that's probably much less likely.
Neither of them want to get hit with western sanctions for doing so.
India is probably wondering where they'll be getting their ammunition from since Russia was their main supplier and Russia is currently expending lots of it in their Special Military Operation.
India backed the wrong horse. That could come back to bite them equipment wise.
