Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

You can watch his reaction real time at his daughter's demise. I heard he's now in the hospital probably from the shock of it all.
I might staunchly disagree with a lot of his ideas but I don't wish him dead or any harm. Losing family members no matter how estranged the relationship is hard.
Latest I've read was that she was the target. Bomb was under the driver's seat in her car according to that. Unverified report though.
Yeah, there is a lot of conflicting information at the moment since last I heard was that forensics have no results yet but they have a few suspicions on who is responsible.
Yep. :( Who do you think did this?
At the top of my head will be NATO members Intelligence agency, Ukraine or the local Skinheads but until they release information on what time of bomb was used it is difficult to tell at the moment.

That seems to be the case since many politicos Ukranians already weirdly said that they are not responsable while many others are cheering it.
Maybe they realize that it might harm European support for the war since it was not Dugin himself was killed but his daughter instead. Also they might expect that Putin himself is ruthless enough to capitalize Dugin's daughters death to gain more local support for the war which might be bad for them.

A father watching their child die in front of their eyes is very bad for their health.
Yeah, I agree completely.

@D4rk0w1 I think they kicked the hornet's nest now. I wouldn't be surprised if they take the gloves off and go harder than before.

Far as I knew, Dugin had lost whatever potential influence he could have when he publish Putin against Putin book and lost his University job. Not to mention that just recently he said that a "smo that lasts forever or over 6 months is unacceptable".

This happens as well just after Amnesty International criticized the Ukranians and were backed by NONE OTHER THAN POLITICO!

One of the same outlets that were pushing pro-Ukranian news since the outset.

I just hope this doesn't go into Balkan war atrocities towards civilians.

I know right? He was just nut job with really questionable ideas that have very little influence to the government and last I heard it is mostly Russian Skinheads he have influence over. Damn, he rarely went into news unless he said something really nutty so I am not really sure how much influence he have in the government.

Lol! They are late to the party since the local scuttlebutt have videos circulating since March before realizing the implication of those videos and someone higher up clamped down the distributions. After all my country doesn't need to antagonize our American Allies with China flexing their military muscles again. It is weird how Navy Intel Aide have news about Ukraine faster than CNN. The fucking things you hear and see in government canteens are really weird or disturbing maybe to compensate the bland food selection.

The man with the beard is Dugin who put hands on both heads in shock.

Thanks!

Also, I wonder if the Russo-Ukrainian War would have still occurred had NATO disbanded back in 1991. I'm inclined to say that Yes, very possibly, since color revolutions in the ex-USSR might have still occurred, which in turn might have triggered a Russian military response in Crimea and the Donbass, which in turn might have triggered large-scale Western military cooperation with Ukraine (and no NATO would not have been an impediment to this), which in turn might have still provoked Russia into invading Ukraine sooner or later. So, ultimately, not much might have actually changed in regards to this, with the exception of the Baltic countries also being possible targets for Russia in addition to Ukraine if Russia will likewise become extremely paranoid about large-scale Baltic military cooperation with the West.

Ukraine be trolling.

For a second I thought the meme was Russian Air Defense being located on nearby Floaties.

This however...

...Needs to stop. Very cringe.

And in any case, just how much more of a threat would Ukrainian NATO membership be to Russia relative to Baltic NATO membership when the distances from Moscow are roughly equal in both cases? Russia has managed to live with Baltic NATO membership very well, after all.

I'm not sure that most Russians would support mass mobilization. At least, not without Russian civilians being killed in cold blood in Moscow. How convenient for Putin! Encouraging the Russian chickenhawks to actually fight in Ukraine, I mean.

If Ukrainian deaths really are several times less than Russian deaths, then Slava Ukraina! :D
