Yeah,I am from the Balkans, I never hid that!I think he is Russian or from the balkans many countries in which tend to favor the Russian side on these matters.

And to cleanse the palate...
Um, no.Russia = Israel, Donbass + Crimea = Israeli settlers, Ukraine = Palestinians. Good analogy. I thought of it yesterday. With the notable exception that the religion difference is much, much less pronounced in Russia vs. Ukraine than in Israel vs. Palestine.
Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878)It's from Bulgaria, by chance I managed to hit where it's from the first time.
And they rather have a positive attitude towards Russia, hell if I remember correctly it was the Ruskies who liberated them from the Sultan's boot.
Sir, you have won the interenet this day!Utterly irrelevant, you did actually lose some battles, and the Taliban are still holding the country and laughing.
A little humility, self-reflection, and with less jingoism please. At the end of the day, we tax payers decide if you even have a job, and if you can't win wars, why should we continue to pay your salaries as oppose to firing you and finding someone who can win a war?
Serbia was the mistake of god.
Also, apperetnly Azov has been wiped out
Don't forget Laser Eyes.Nah, they are just misunderstood people. When it comes to comedy movies, only Brits come ahead of them. And ''remove kebab'' meme was a gift from god.
Those were awfully small bangs for arty.
Yeah but if Iraq is California 3 weeks is impressive, it takes at least 1 week to get around all the needles and homeless poop. Some perspective again:
Ukraine is roughly the size of Texas.
Iraq is roughly the size of California.
Baghdad was 500km from US start lines and took US Forces 3 weeks to reach its outskirts in force against an Army composed of Keystone Cops where shooting in the same direction is an achievement.
Kiev is 200 kilometers from the Russian Start line and VDV were in its outskirts within hours and reinforced by Russian Tanks within 36 hours. Against a foe that is trained and disciplined.
Submunitions most likely, probably designed to crater roads and soft vehicles.
Also Saddam's forces were systematically starved by an embargo for about a decade, and even before that they were depeted by two wars(Gulf and the disastrous Iran-Iraq war he was fighting on orders from the USA.)Some perspective again:

They also didn't mobilise until it was too late because who even knows why. Also Saddam's forces were systematically starved by an embargo for about a decade, and even before that they were depeted by two wars(Gulf and the disastrous Iran-Iraq war he was fighting on orders from the USA.)
In contrast, Ukraine has been receiving aid and training from various western countries for close to a decade.
Slight correction: The forces currently threatening Kiev came in through Belarus, putting them only 100km away when hostilities began. Still impressive, but it's less than a 2 hour drive. Most tanks could travel that distance and back again and have fuel to spare.
They also didn't mobilise until it was too late because who even knows why.
Good news a major world power has spoken on the situation.
I only wish I could teach someone to troll that well. You Amerikanski had to go in and give them cell phones and teach them how to troll!
Well, they learned by practicing on you, not from you.I only wish I could teach someone to troll that well.
It indicates jack shit.
They attacked from 3 fronts, while having a direct border for logistics and a very long preparation. USA had a staging area on another continent and still attacked just from one, short border (Kuwait).

Capability is one thing, the sense of it is another. Russians clearly "reached" airfields next to Kiev early, hoping they could capture them, land in VDV and rush capital for a quick and easy win. Didn't work, now they are going by road. This isn't something to be jealous of, this was a bad bet on their side.By your logic then, the US should have been capable of seizing Baghdad within a few days by landing the 82nd and 101st Airborne at Baghdad Airport in the opening moves and had the 1st Armored reach them in 3 days at most.
As i said, one front vs 3. Also Iraq had quite a bit more of said military.Instead it got bogged down with a 3rd World Military and took a while to break through instead of just pushing hard and fast.
While having 5x less distance, and while the opponent is also busy fighting tens of thousands of separatist proxies. That's in fact where Ukraine's best forces are stuck.Russia using roughly the same number of troops as the US did in Iraq, has attacked on a far broader front against a far more capable enemy with less firepower and manpower density per square kilometer as the US had in 2003 and is getting faster results.
This belong in textbook "apples and oranges", this is too stupid argument to even bother arguing. There is no arguing around this. The results are the results.
Dunno about that, but the Iwojima reenactment and the scene of them finding and using US helicopters pretty much can't be matched by any subsequent weekly training videos IMO.Yeah, and boy do they love putting out weekly training videos of them using US Equipment and Vehicles and marching.
ladies and gentlemen, presenting the infamous Shcrodinger's Russian Military. It indicates jack shit.
