Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

Not sure about the EQ of some of these Wagner Mercs.

Picking a fight with a swarm of armed Rosgvardia doesn't seem like a good idea.

Hopefully he returns with his friends and gets vengeance. 😏

That may well be a recruiting standard for them these days. If he's willing to attack the opponent no matter the obvious odds, he's perfect soldier material.
Alternatively Russian forces are just playing cops and bandits. Thanks to Wagner's recent recruitment campaign, they can now do it with real cops and real bandits.

Who are the real cops here? The Ukrainians?

Also, question: Is Russia's excuse for invading Ukraine similar to China's excuse for helping North Korea back in 1950? As in, we need a buffer to protect ourselves from the hostile West? Except China's excuse was actually more reasonable since China didn't have the thousands of nukes in 1950 that Russia currently has.

Rosgvardia is glorified cops.

The similarity is that in both cases no one with two braincells to rub together cares for the excuse.

How do they function as cops?

Yeah, fair enough lol.
Mostly riot police, at least before the war and being used as a sort of military police.

So, you are saying that the Russian army is pulling back to shorten the frontline and to prepare new offensive?

I am very curious about the Russians having to shorten their front line to be able to stop the Ukrainian advance? To the size of an average supermarket or the width of a typical big-box apartment building?
After all, it's some kind of mockery to have your enemy push you out with the same forces that repelled your attacks for a few months.

i read memories of polish aristocrat Hipolit Korwin -Milewski - according to him, during 1905 war tsar do not made mobilization, send army to Manchuria where it get beaten, and,as a results, germans could take Moscov with one corp if they wished for that.
It seems, that it happened again - unless there is hidden kgb super army waiting to take Europe. Not impossible.

And as we know, people die when they are killed.
Thanks to herculean STRENGHT OF WILL, X survived.
Do the Russians not realize the Winds blow east and they are literally right next door to Ukraine. Radioactive fallout would be nailing them. Idiots they are idiots.

Either that,or that is part of their master plan to take over World,or at least Europe.Which included first destroing their army, and next polluting their lands.

Not very probable,but...they are KGB.They supposed to be smart - and do not care about how many people die as long as they keep power.

So,do not think that they are defeated. They probably are,but we could be wrong.
