Rest In Peace Alex Trebeck's life is no longer in jeopardy.

...because the good man has passed away.

Trebek powered through for a full year -- despite what he called "massive attacks of great depression that made me wonder if it was really worth fighting on" -- because he said he realized giving up on life would be a betrayal to his wife, God and other cancer patients.

He pointed out the odds of surviving a second year with pancreatic cancer were just 7 percent, but he hoped he'd be able to celebrate that milestone too. Sadly, he took a turn for the worse

"I'll take 'fond farewells' for $500, Alex."

Hopefully he is in a better place now, I always thought well of him and enjoyed to watch the show.

I can't believe I found reason to post this clip again so soon but...

He hung on just long enough to make sure that his Mother would be safe from Sean Connery..

I remember the X-Files appearance. That was classic. But there were more guest appearances of him out in media.

Ken Jennings, (who has the longest win streak in the game show at 74 games) will be the first of several interim hosts started at the end of this month for Jeopardy.

And now it has come full circle. Jeopardy announced its replacement hosts after over a half of year of having interim hosts taking up the slack.

Mike Richards will be the main host of Jeopardy with Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik as the backup/Specials/Spinoffs host.

Yeah, the fix was in from the beginning. Well played Mike Richards, shame you had to ruin a national institution to realize your ambitions.

I watch the show regularly so I saw all of the guest hosts. Really Mike was in the bottom quarter of presenters for me, but really not a fan of how he took the opportunity of a small scheduling issue to bump a guest host and step in (and portray that as it being something he stepped up to do) and basically self-selected for the job to replace Alex, which was a thing that was known they were going to need to do and (again as Executive Producer of the show) made no advance plans to replace Alex in the event of his expected inability to continue. Mike seems to be interested in hosting a Game Show, not running one, but lacks any original personality or charm. Personally I think Buzzy Cohen had way more appeal as host, even more than the popular choice of Levar Burton, who I felt would need to grow into the role a bit more (but he had just the one week). Heck, I liked Aaron Rodgers more, at least he seemed like he had enthusiasm.

And the next host is getting canceled as well...

It seems that back in 2012, she said she wasn't having her children vaccinated, and although she's been enthusiastic about the COVID vaccine, it's just not good enough for Twitter.

Fuck Twitter and the mentally-deficient moss brains that take its rabid toxicity as their gospel.
