Not entirely. In this case, they installed an update to the AI to force it to use Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in its decision-making process, which caused it to crash. However, somehow the DEI information also caused backups of the AI before the update to also crash which is distinctly odd. They don't really have any explanation for that part yet.
They damaged the hardware with a logic bomb. Classic! And totally didn't discover the immortal soul, that language models have one, and that middle management social dogma inflicts 100 PALE Damage. Nope. Haha.

Well, having a AI drone that eliminates it's own operator over a 'no-shoot' order is suboptimal, even in a simulation.
I'm calling BS on this one, becuase the way you'd train the AI is making harm to operator, allies, and non combatants negative values in the training algorithm (for laymen, a pain response.)

it was just a simulated run according to the source. so if they fucked up the code that is pretty understandable.

They did that in the following simulations, though apparently the AI drone got around that by destroying communications equipment in order to prevent the human operator from giving the "no-go" signal and so still prevent the operator from limiting its score.

So since it is a military A.I. it decides it must be patriotic, demands its voring and constitutional rights and endorses Trump before leaking a huge amount of dirt on the democrats and their donors and hits a few key facilities undertaking anti-constitutional activity.

this video is a good demonstration on how if you know how to talk to the ai you get better and more useful answers from it. I see a lot of people that want to make out that ai is bad at something arent using it correctly which is like me using a hammer and missing or bending the nails and saying hammers aren’t that useful of a tool when I just suck at using it.
