Good to see you around, been a while and I hope all is good your side :)

Well, quite a bit happened IRL, new challenges and opportunities to rise up to, fun stuff had to take back seat. Now that I've vaguely managed to stay ahead of the tide, I have some more time to spare.
;)

PsiCorps is something more for the next project I think, beside interrogating prisoners and assisting at negotiations there isn't a huge amount for them to do. In a longer war they'd be great at covert missions and similar, but as this one is going to be pretty short their role is supporting :)

They'll have a big role in the future, though I'm hoping to show some divisions within their group between the jackboots and the regular teeps. In this timeline there will be no President Clark but that doesn't mean there won't be internal threats to Earth. It may be that the Psi Corps is remembered heroically :p

Sounds interestingly, can't wait to see it.

Most of the internal strife Earth had in canon is going to belong to the Minbari this time.

That's virtually Undiscovered Country in fan fiction, virgin territory really.
Pls don't make us wait too long, your writing is addictive.

Appreciate the words too, I pretty much always avoided politics but when friends of mine get that sort of shit thrown at them then I'm standing with them. I consider loyalty more valuable than membership of one particular website

I left SB due to RL priorities, when time allowed to come back and check things out the shitstorm was in full swing... I took the time to go through the "accusations" thread and seeing the (broadly understood) bullshit,
well, "nope nope nope all of my nope" gif would fit here.

Hmmm, I just wrote a long piece on what went wrong IMHO, but don't want to derail the thread...

So anyway, in good old British fashion let's keep a stiff upper lip, drink chai from a samovar (taking our location into account) and screw the morons. ;)

Well I for one am glad to have you here. I remember some of discussions years ago. You were quite fun to debate. I look forward to that in the future.

LC, a question: will you include the scene with a certain senator of Italian descent that we once spoke about? LoNAW ambassadors disrespecting him / EA and all that? Not even addressing him properly?
:devilish:🤣

So....am I the only one that's hoping the 'dur gets crushed by Branmer?
It would be an interesting turn of events but considering the balance of forces the only way I see it happening is for Branmer to have a very secret superweapon from the war against the Shadows that manages to turn the tables on the powerful human-dilgar raid fleet.

Based on what LC gave us glimpses at, it is unlikely that a stalemate (second Balos) would happen, most likely we will a reverse of OTL. Battle of the Line, Minbari defeated, turn inwards as EA did.
Would be hilarious if a Shadow agent were to find traction there, because there would be no shortage of Minbari just waiting to say "vengeance" when asked about what to they want. Even "worse", without Grey Council using the Triluminary on Sinclair, the GC will have no incentive to reconcile with Humans...

I'm expecting the tri-luminary and Sinclair to have a meetimg here.

I'm also expecting a conflict between Dilgar and EA when the war crimes start happening. Especially considering the EA President's orders regarding avoidance of civilian casualties.

That is something that Ja'dhur already nipped in the bud with her strategy of blaming Sineval and the Shadows. It's far more probable that they will ask the help of the more extremists factions of the Vorlon, those that on the OTL were willing to use planet killers on civilizations that got even a hint of Shadow influence.

Keep in mind Shadow servants don't announce themselves with "Exclusive Shadow sales rep. for XXX species" on their business cards...
;)
At that time even Vorlons were thought of as a legend, expeditions sent there not coming back, GC members considering attempts to contact a "waste of lives and ships" if we go by flashbacks from "In the Beginning".

Back then they were not desperate enough and every loss was done with little potential gain. On the other hand right now the Warrior members of the Grey Council are facing both defeat at the hands of a younger race and the loss of the Balance that have been guiding the mimbari with Branmen already undermining the caste system and his nominal chain of command for the sake of survival.

Under those circumstances I can see a Grey Council member from the Warrior Caste, or someone like Delenn who is feeling guilty enough about her role in strting the war, to consider her life a cheap enough price to contact the Vorlons for help.

Well, Delenn and Lennon (who shouldn't be dead this time around) are the 2 Minbari alive who know for a fact that Vorlons are (sometimes) on the GC ship, so no need to send expeditions out...
(Just check the wardrobe)
:D

I have written a little bit with those two Vorlons next chapter, they are as helpful and useful as you'd guess :p
Vorlons, helpful? More likely the Vorlons will speak in riddles with everyone scratching their heads
trying understand what they just said. Seriously, the Vorlons might not be all that displeased at
the Minbari learning how unprepared for the Shadows they are.

So barely above 0?

Sometimes I would like to see a repeat of Lucilla's "Stability is relative" scene where the barely-sane PSI-Corp telekinetic ask Kosh on the effects of what substances he was when he designed his suit and the answer was "Drugs.", it would not surprise me if it could be canon-ish....

Very nice story!

It might be because of a lack of perspective since I am not that familiar with the setting, but I cannot bring myself to like jha’dur even a little bit :p
On another note, I have a feeling Earth might become the lynchpin of any anti-Shadows alliance in the future.

Battle of the Line, Minbari defeated, turn inwards as EA did.
Wasn’t turning inward too much their entire problems in the first place?😁

Their doesn't even need to be an intentional orbital bombardment, they just blow up that big station the wrong way and most of the debris will fall back to Minbar's surface. Additionally, sniping surface command centers and military installations, well those are now likely in very built-up areas. Leveling those with capital ship weapons likely will cause collateral damage.
