Cameron is aggressively going to use this succession plan by implying IF he knocks out Beshear in November in the gubernatorial election, he would take office on December 12th, 2023 as the Bluegrass State's 64th Governor, that Cameron would appoint someone to replace McConnell as the new United States Senator from KY.

I wasn't quite surprised that United States Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) announced he's NOT seeking reelection in 2024.

Guess this means UT GOP field will be huge. I'm hearing UT State Attorney General Sean Reyes (R) will NOT run for Romney's US Senate seat.
