United States Anti-Semitism in the United States (and elsewhere)

Maybe they need to convene an Ecumenical Council to decide the matter.
Better not.Considering current pope,he probably want paint ladder in raonbow colours.
Seriously, notching like that till we have normal pope again.

The thing is, the Status Quo decree isn't just a religious matter but also a political one. As I previously noted, the rival claims on this and other religious sites were part of what caused the Crimean War, and although the original decree came from Sultan Osman III, it was formally acknowledged and codified in the 1856 Treaty of Paris (which ended said Crimean War), re-referenced in the 1878 Treaty of Berlin, and further detailed by the United Nations Conciliation Commission after the 1949 Palestine war. So even though the Ottoman Empire is long gone, the Sultan's decree on this matter has been incorporated into modern international treaties.

And it's not just the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Being a busy and practical sort of ruler, Osman III made this decree cover all of the actively contested holy sites in the Holy Land at the time of his reign, which total nine different sites in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Five are contested between Christian denominations (and it's a different set of denominations with each site), one is contested between Christians and Muslims, and two are contested between Jews and Muslims.

A series of Ecumenical Councils could in theory resolve the Christian-only sites, but you'd have to call a different council for each one because all of them are contested between different groups, and it's extra-complicated because in most cases the contesting parties include both Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox denominations.

Well, this all is escalating; hopefully the pro-Hamas groups will be pushed out ASAP, and fireworks to harass them aren't any worse than they've already done.

yeah sounds about right, I think that if that happened Jordon would probally invade.

Posted here because I think this was one of those commie protestors. Apparently the Trooper is Georgian, so I'm not sure if there are protests going on over there...?

Edit: Then again, he looks like a trans-trender "it's ma'am!" loon, so...

It took place at UGA iirc. One of the biggest schools in the state

Meanwhile…

I hope you guys like anti-semitism, because Biden has finally admitted that he’s going to bring boatloads of Palestinian ‘refugees’ into the USA after denying it for a better part of a year.

Because of course he is...

I am suprised, that you are suprised. That is "great" Natanjahu plan from the start - genocide some plestinians, exiled other to western countries, where they would attack jews, jews from those countries go to izrael and vote for Natanjahu,so he would be not thrown to the prison for corruption.

So many people must die and suffer for sake of one corrupted politician....

I've said before, the Israel vs Hamas issue is the biggest fracture point in the Dem base, and these protests and campus occupations are only making it wider.

It's a deep rift between the normie DNC voters and immigrant Muslim activists that have far left activist core of DNC playing support. It always existed, but the average voter would not know of it, sometimes would stubbornly refuse to accept knowledge about it, the problem is that now everyone is seeing it in broad daylight and the two factions of DNC now know of each other, so do independent voters, and there is no unlearning that.

Let’s hope you are right about them not being able to unlearn or forget about that. It would greatly help against this nonsense.

Into the memory hole it goes. Orange. Man. Bad.
Sadly.true.Democrats would forget till elections about anytching else.

If it made you feel better - the same happen in Poland, our leftist do not care about haw Poland is fucked by their leaders, they hate PIS who once ruled.

Trump hate can't win them here.
Even the left media is covering the protests.

If they did get one of those, what would they do with it?

Quite likely.
What I suspect is that if the Israelis all suddenly disappeared off to another dimension or something, and the Palestinians had the land they claim to themselves... they would not know what to do with it.
Rather than trying to develop and use it like the Israelis do, they would mostly wander off to find other people they could threaten and demand hand-outs from.
Yeah your take is laughable. No the Palestinians would not go somewhere else for "gibs" and "dem programs" as you denigrate an entire nation in a racist manner.

They would just become another Muslim or Arab state. Egypt isn't some terrorist haven.

What makes you think Arabs from Palestine would have less attraction to western welfare states than Arabs from Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria or Morocco?

Seems like someone has forgotten the whole Muslim Brotherhood drama some years ago, the whole military run government thing, nevermind the Sinai insurgency, which of course is... against terrorists. Some of the terrorists being related to the same organization as Hamas to add to the irony.
