United States George Floyd Protests, Reactions and Riots

Wew lad, a Governor threatening a President. That's a yikes from me, not a good look sweaty.
Would not be the first time a GOP POTUS has to send in the military to quell lawlessness in NYC.

Lincoln sent them in to deal with the Draft Riots, and Trump can do the same if pushed.

Like the fact he laid off 20,000 people and yet his wife has her own personal team that costs $2 million a year?

Also threatening a president..... How long till the Secret Service has 'words' with him?

I suspect they have already given him a polite call and warning. Like they do with most cranks the 'words' tend to only come in if you persist in being stupid.

Not sure if it should go here or on the Kenosha thread. But you know the Trump Supporter that was killed in Portland?

Yeah, Vice got a interview with the shooter. They gave him a platform to tell his side of the story, which is rich since they don't let Kyle do that. It's supposed to go online tonight but a teaser was released. Already disliked to oblivion and unlisted. But he says a really, really interesting thing.

He claims he was defending a black friend of color. Which is very interesting, because no such person has come forward to speak in his defense, you can see no one like that in the little footage we have and of course the Trump supporter was not armed or attacking anyone.

Welcome to 2020, where Vice helps murder suspects create alibis. Let's see how well this shit flies when he gets into a courtroom. If he gets there at all that is, given what Portland is like.

Paramedic larpers are not actual emergency services, news at 11.

To be fair, one does not have to be a paramedic to have first aid skills and help out in an emergency situation. The City of Portland fully acknowledges this; the subject of this lawsuit is specifically whether or not protest medics should have a protected status similar to military medics, and whether or not they should be exempt from orders to disperse, not whether or not protest medics may lawfully administer first aid. (That would be a moot issue, because all persons can lawfully administer first aid.)

For the record, I agree with the City of Portland that they should not.

Wasn't the guy who pulled a gun on our boy Kyle with intent of murdering him a self-described paramedic, even with a cap proclaiming so on?

I don't think they should have protected status at fucking all.

And Portland authorities will cooperate on those warrants just like they cooperate with ICE.

I would point out that Portland's non-cooperation with ICE is in compliance with a state law which passed with broad bipartisan support many decades before all present controversy. And the reason it had broad bipartisan support then was that ICE was constantly abusing law enforcement cooperation in a way that badly emptied the state's coffers.

I see the Feds decided to take this one. He fucked up if the Marshalls wanted him

I think for most rioters, they almost all think they'll be lost in a sea of faces and by the end of all of this, they'll be free to eventually do a repeat when given the opportunity

They're free to do it all because the government, the big businesses, the media and even the celebrities are on their side

And they're such a large number of people, would anyone truly be willing to go through having to arrest that many people?

And it's not as if they'll make the effort of finding every face in the crowd

Those being arrested, possibly more permanently, in their minds are rare
