"More grounded?" Did you play Mortal Kombat at all? From day one it was meant to be over the top and offensive. I still remember the moral panic rather fondly.
Now now... something exciting has happened...

I agree with @Captain X on something!

I never lived the moral panic that generated that bloated and corrupt ESRB system. Frànkly it looks like à wàlk in the pàrk compàred to wokies ànd other ilk.

MK wàs never reàlistic to begin with ànd làdies with D ànd over D cup exist in àll of Bràsil.

Yes I have played Mortal Kombat and I like the new designs and the old bimbo ones but the newer designs serve the story mode better.

You bringing up 90's era moral panic is just a simple minded strawman.

There's a difference between characters being bimbo strippers, as in MK11, and their being, well, looking like women. The last Mortal Kombat game's women didn't look like women. Even Cassie looked a bit... odd? compared to how she looked in the previous game.

I mean, fucking hell, what the hell happened to Sonya? Yes, she did look like a stripper in 2011, but her facial features were actually feminine. Now? She looks like a trans-dude. Seriously.

Again, this is a trend in Western game development. If a woman looks even remotely feminine, and I don't mean stripper-esque but actually looking like a woman in standard design language, it's "sexist and bad".

Hell, the main character from Horizon, Alloy, looks like a dude with the strong jawline and such.

You can be attracted to whatever you like. Of you think the MKX and 11 characters look like Transmen I find it utterly laughable but I'm not going to argue what you should be attracted to.

I just saw the video and it was seven minutes of autistic whining that MK characters didn't look like bimbos like in MK9 and repeating ad nauseam the strawman that making characters not look like bimbos anymore for story mode means that Mortal Kombat must be a reality simulator and not have any fantastical elements.

And that's a thirst-tard take IMHO.

All of the recent Mortal Kombat games have been pretty great and well received in general and this looks to be the same. It's looking great even if the right half of America apparently thinks all the Women look like Transmen.

shrug I haven't watched that video, nor do I share their apparent views that it needs to be a fantastical bimbo simulator, but if you're saying that there isn't a massive character design direction change from female characters looking feminine (I'm talking body-shape, facial structure, et cetera, not that they're "just tits with legs") to have what are essentially masculine features (especially with Sonya Blade as an example) that makes them look like dudes in wigs or as fugly as hell, then I don't know what to say other than you're blinder than Moleman without his glasses.

I use Sonya as a prime example because although she did look like a military stripper in the first reboot game, she still looked like a woman; the jawline, the facial structure like cheekbones and eyes, her body-shape (even exaggerated), et cetera -- the last game? She had a strong jawline and cheekbones not out of place on a dude pretending to be a woman, a body-shape that wasn't "athletic, trained woman" ala Sarah Connor but "dude pretending to be a woman to play in women's sports". Basically, her design was purposefully done so that it shredded any impression of femininity in her design language.

And it's not just in Mortal Kombat but a general trend/agenda across recent Western games, too; again, feminine and attractive doesn't equate bimbo or sexy fan-service.

Okay. You already said all that already. I'm not sure why you quoted me??? Just to call me a Moleman lol?

@Husky_Khan @Jormungandr

I am surprised you guys can write up so many characters for 3D lasses that don't exist.
Anyway, while I agree that MK is nice to look realistic to a degree, the change in art style and assets do show that they are following the trend also Fable is taking.

Also Jormungandr...please tell you didn't waste money on the Sony's imitation of the Ubisoft formula....😅

The Edenians should have larger boobery. Maybe not MK9 Bimbo Boobery, but certainly more ample.

Zeno demands all of the MK women to be plumped up further than they ever have been. None of them should be able to see their toes if they tried, due to their chests.

A: It would be funny
B: It would piss a lot of people off

So just like Sense a Cyberpunk Ghost Story. That's because the game got mildly famous because lots of wokies and npcs got mad for the character design.

Nope, I'm proud to say. :)

Eh, I will grant you that the first one was sort of a breath of fresh air for what it proposed story-wise!

But then :

I haven't played the first for two obvious reasons : I sold my PS4 to breath a year ago to be able to not have worries monetary-wise and then when it came out on PC...well my 7 year PC can't run that thing even if I wanted to!

Fallout 3, Oblivion Remastered are real and will arrive alongside other games
Thanks to a leaked FTC (UK Federal Trade Commission) document. This document has revealed everything we can expect from Bethesda (and therefore Xbox) in the coming years. According to the FTC document, the American company has some surprises in store for video game fans. Next year, a new game dedicated to Indiana Jones is expected to be launched, along with a remastered version of 'The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion'. The latter had already been rumoured a few days
Later, in FY23E, Bethesda will bring a new chapter of the famous DOOM series to the market, called 'Doom Year Zero'. Unfortunately, no further details about this mysterious title are currently available. However, we do know that the id Software development team is already working on a new iteration of the 'id Tech' game engine. Therefore, we can assume that 'Doom Year Zero' will be built on this platform. In the more distant future, Bethesda has planned to launch highly anticipated games, including 'The Elder Scrolls VI', the remastering of 'Fallout 3', 'Dishonored 3' and a sequel to 'Ghostwire: Tokyo'. It should be noted that these titles may not see the light of day in FY24E, so the launch window may not be more accurate.
It is important to emphasise that this document comes from official FTC sources, which means that all the information in it is absolutely true.In short, the FTC has revealed the release schedule of Bethesda's upcoming games in advance. Although this leak of information may represent a big problem for the company, in many ways it strengthens Xbox, which sees a decidedly scary lineup in terms of content in the near future, even considering all the projects coming from other teams.

Doom: Year Zero is probably the time period when Hell invaded Earth or Mars and the Slayer hadn't arrived yet. Or, as a more wild theory, it's a prequel with the Sentinels versus Hell, pre or post-Slayer emergence.
