Middle East US Airstrike decapitates Iraqi Hezbollah

Probably from reports.

Trump I know will respond like a shitpost since 80 million is an insult to his head.
That's basically paying 80 mil to get nucked. Killing a sitting president is gonna cause a real war. Full on declaration and the whole shebang.

Wow, that's...they really want to up the ante don't they.

China and Russia must be banging their heads over Iran's stupidity. Or rubbing their hands over arms sales in the near future. Maybe both.

The hilarious thing is I'm half-expecting Trump to whip out another 80mil out of his own pocket to double the bounty, since a mere eight-digits bounty is insulting to his ego.

2020 - the year Trump shitposted the assassins and bounty hunters. Please make it happen.

The comedian who dangled a head of Trump maybe cause for inspiration.

A bigger shitpost is to send Iran by post many fake heads of himself.

While hilarious, the Secret Service would not be happy if he did that.

And incidentally, this article just offends me deeply.

"Suleimani, a flamboyant former construction worker and bodybuilder with snowy white hair, a dapper beard, and arching salt-and-pepper eyebrows, gained notice during the eight-year war with Iraq, in the nineteen eighties. "

I'll be honest, the whitewashing that the left has been doing today for Suleimani has guaranteed that I won't support any Democrats this cycle. It actually pissed me off enough that I called the DCCC and DNC and flat out told them that because of how they and their surrogates have portrayed him (not over whether or not killing him was a good idea, that is a legitimately debatable topic); neither I or any of my corporate interests will be giving a dime more to any Democrat (local, state, or federal) or Democrat associated organization this time around.

Also called up some Dem's that I specifically do like and told them that I regretted that I couldn't donate to them but that this was a point of principal that I was standing firm on. Their opinions on how the Democrats were acting were heartening.

Hopefully getting hit in the bank account will at least kinda sorta get some of them to sit up and take notice.

The democratic party as of now Is near bankruptcy.

They have roughly 6 million of cash on hand and 7 million in debt.

So yeah their already hurting in the old pocketbook.

Something important to note about the 80 million dollar bounty?

...It's actually also an admission of weakness.

It's asking someone else to do it, because they can't do it themselves.

Someone didn't think that through.
It may be just a sign of "we aren't totally powerless, see, we placed a bounty on him!"

A response that's ultimately meaningless but still appears as something.

Wait, what? I thought Dems were supported by lots of corporations that thought a limited and regulated government could somehow be used to their advantage even if they rot and fail

The Democratic candidates get donations, but the DNC itself is a cash starved beast.

The democrats are really bad about building lasting political machines outside of their strongholds like Chicago.

That’s why we saw them basically collapse on the state and local level over the course of Obama’s presidency, and it doesn’t look like they’ve actually learned much from that.

The RNC and Trump, meanwhile, have a three-hundred million dollar war chest and that’s only going to get larger as we get closer to election. I wouldn’t be surprised if they break a billion+ by the time everything starts.

Didn't the service used to get mad at Regan. For always going out into crowds to meet folks? Teddy definitely did by always wearing a pistol. So see it's a republican tradition.

Why aren’t they receiving more donations from the corporations on their side exactly?

Too many are already pretty WOKE AF to the point even their workplaces are affected

Keep in mind Hilary Clinton raised over a half billion dollars for the 2016 campaign. The funding gap will narrow almost certainly once an actual candidate emerges from the Primaries and everything in the DNC can coalesce around supporting one candidate.

The main thing is ever since 2012, the RNC has actually been copying the Obama era grassroots campaign and apparatus that Obama developed with the small time donations and using two million volunteers. The DNC lost that apparatus when Obama went bye bye but the Republican party candidates (all of them including Trump) benefited from it in 2016 and will benefit from it in 2020. Added onto that are Trump's own fundraising committees which add even more money to the RNC coffers.

1. Corporations, or at least most corporations, don’t really have a political alignment unless they are being run by actual partisans.

This means that, while many corporations will make the right mouth noises to keep the left off their back, most are more than happy to donate to both sides and get political favors and kick backs from both parties.

2. It is still primary season for the democrats. This means that their monetary power is divided amongst themselves for now, and will stay divided until they rally around one candidate.

However, it’s questionable how much of that money will go towards the DNC and the down ballot races instead of just getting pumped into the presidential campaign.

3. The DNC and establishment democrats are distrusted by part of their base to an extent that the RNC is not. The traditionalists and libertarians may not like the neocons or business republicans, but they will pinch their noses and fall in line if that’s what it takes.

The progressives do not like the DNC or the establishment democrats themselves, and have actively started trying to primary the business dems and what few blue dogs remain to replace them with socialists, and the Obama grassroots campaign died when he left office.

That means less small time donors than they should have on paper and resources being wasted fighting amongst themselves.

He surely did when Russia took Crimea under his watch from Ukraine.
Which the Russians wouldn't have done if not for the violent overthrow of a pro-Russian Ukrainian government, by a pro-NATO coup. Personally, I don't blame them for trying to cripple what was quickly becoming an enemy state, especially when they share a land border; we would have done the same thing in their place.
