State Funeral for Pele? 😕
I don't think it would be an official State Funeral, but it sure will be as big as one(bigger than most State Funerals, I'd say). Many people don't think much of Pelé(he certainly is no shining beacon of morality), but he has always... been there.

Think of it; I was born in February 1978, which means I'm some 10 years older than the current Brazilian age median... and almost 20 years younger than the 1958 World Cup, where he first appeared to the world. How many Brazilians can remember a time before Pelé? My parent's generation, mostly, and they are going away quickly.

Don't even think the late Brazilian singer Marilia Mendonca had a big large funeral. They buried her the day after her plane crash

Not really. Loads of whispers but nothing solid. He was spotted crying during a military ceremony but that isn't really news. Lula isn't even in yet and there are already frictions and deals being made to try and keep the wide anti-Bolsonaro alliance from exploding.

A big Governor from SP who just got elected, Tarcisio, has gone on record to say he isn't really a "hardcore Bolsonaro" guy and openly speaking of some "moderation". Loads of unhappy people over it.

So you're saying that Lula's alliance with the anti-Bolsonaro folks is slowly imploding?

Pretty much.

Lula just announced some ministers for the new government and shit is as bad as expected. For one he announced that he will put Haddad in charge of the Ministry of Farms. This is horrendous news because for starters it means the fucking commie is gonna undo the fusion of 4 different miniteries Bolsonaro did to create the Ministry of the Economy if Farms is back, likely to sell influence and favours.

Second issue is Haddad is a card carrying commie
Worst mayor SP ever had, ministry of Education for a while that saw massive investment into commie shit for schools and universities. And the cherry on top is that he graduated from University with a Thesis where he argued the USSR central command economy was a "huge success" in growing Russia. It was published literally months before the USSR imploded.

What in the absolute FUCK????????

Lula trying to out-Biden Biden 🤔

It's not even close. Biden is a globalist whose leftist is the new identity politics brand. Lula is a unironic commie, barely controled Tankie. He praised Mao and Kruschev back in the day. When the pandemic started he even said on a interview that "Thank God this disaster came, to show people why they need the State." They are already working on passing "internet regulation legislation" on the first 100 days of their government.

Big question is whether Lula attempts to seek a 4th term in 2026?
