China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

It's somewhat tangential, but US Congressmen (may) have taken the opportunity of early briefings on the Wuhan virus to sell stocks and save themselves from some of the market dumping--Burr and Loeffler as the 'big names', with others who did the same but have somewhat more believable immediate explanations (blind trusts or being in mutual funds). Not proven yet, and could be more innocent than it looks, but...It's a thing.

Suspicious indeed. How many of these congressmen were observed doing so?

There's four listed in the article, with a speculated possibility floating around of more that might show up as people dig into the financial records of other congressmen and look very critically at the dates where they bought or sold stocks.
It's, surprisingly, led to the likes of Ocasio-Cortez and Ted Cruz agreeing on saying it was suspicious and needed investigation, as I understand.

Isn't that insider traiding and illegal?

And there'll be many more.

Darwin's law will be met a hundredfold.

Metal is a genre. Just as Country and Rock and hip hop and pop. They differ a lot, very much in some regards.
So though your opinion may be right to you, it is not the facts
Words mean things. If Daft Punk decided that it would start calling itself a bluegrass band, but still played all the same music, they would not be a Bluegrass band, yet this is exactly what has happened with metal. Scream-shit has exactly as much in common with the genre of music that called itself Heavy Metal as experimental techno funk beats have to do with bluegrass.

I still think the best name is Kung Flu
Some one should put up a poll.

Wuhan Flu is accurate, but not that exciting.
Wu Flu rolls off the tongue nicely.
Kung Flu is kinda iffy, a bit of a reach.
ChiComFlu is a nice political jab at the fuckers responsible for this mess getting to this point.
Chinese Virus is completely accurate, given where it came from.

Kung Flu isnt iffy or a reach. China = Kung Fu, Disease = flu

Chicomflu and chinese virus are incredibly clunky and shouldn't even be on the list.

As I said, there should be a poll.

Personally I prefer Wuhan Flu because it is accurate, doesn't have any potential racial undertones, and follows previous disease naming-guidelines.

The only Green Energy is Nuclear.
It's A Green Energy, not the only one. I'm a big fan of nuclear power, but that does not mean I will ignore other sources of actual green energy,

Geothermal really is amazingly useful in areas where it is practical. Unfortunately those areas are not usually where the energy demand is located, and geothermal is not so good as to warrant large transmissions lines to send the energy over long distances.

The only real way to make it that powerful is to tap Yellowstone and other large semi-active supervolcanic systems, which carries it's own risks.

Or were you trying to make a radiation joke and it flew over my head? Honest question, because jokes going over my head is not uncommon.

I think what bothers me in the back of my mind is how all of a sudden people ask for sweeping actions restricting the personal freedoms of everyone from a lot of governments that really can't be called all that "liberal" with regards to upholding personal freedoms to begin with. That's not to say that nothing needs to be done. But allowing the same governments emergency powers that all too easily would censor you even under the best circumstances seems like a reaaally bad idea, if you stop to think about it. I mean, the same government that makes it super hard for me to get a firearm for self-defense on the one hand now more or less takes away my freedom of movement. And who's to say that "for the common good" they won't soon try and start to monitor the web as well. Maybe I'm just paranoid (I hope so), but I can't shake the feeling that many governments will use the overall climate of fear and confusion to push through measures that will end up limiting essential freedoms in the long term.

Edit: Giving it a bit more though, I got myself the TOR browser. Better safe than sorry, right?
