I dont fear the virus, Although I do fear the possibility of food riots from people panicking and emptying stores... which I have started seeing. The virus uses ACE2 as its cell entry receptor, blocking Ang II from converting to Ang 1-7 and behaving as a MasR agonist. Ang II builds up, with a massive pro-inflammatory effect, damaging tissues and causing hypertension.
This is what I meant when I said weeks ago that the virus "dysregulates angiotensin".

Assuming an uncontrolled doubling time of 2.5 days, that's 25 days before the entire population is infected. Of course, that won't happen without being interrupted by other factors.
These are my current predictions:
In about 8 to 10 days, extremely strict quarantine measures will start to be enacted.
Between 15 to 30 days from now, society as we know it in the US in the vicinity of the current outbreak locations will start to break down, Martial Law will be declared, and military convoys and men in MOPP gear will be swarming our highways and streets.
That's no joke. That's the trajectory we are on right at this very instant.
April will be a vision of hell itself.
