With USMCA now signed and fully legit, on top of everything else, Mexico's future is looking brighter than it has in decades.
I'd much rather buy goods made in Mexcio than made in China.
As for the cartels, they will never be completely wiped out unfortunately. The best we can hope for is they are forced to scale back and no longer act as effective regional govs.
Maybe a few of the more (and this is very relative) benign cartels could be treated like that if they swear off certain activities, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.
DHEC finally got around to giving us a briefing on this stuff. It's pretty scary stuff. Needless to say I'll be doubly gloving up among other things.

Guess it's bad enough if the Pentagon is making contingency plans. And yes, the hospital I work in already has had multiple briefings. We're stocked and ready, only problem is we have enough trouble with the patient load as is.

And given the long incubation time, no one at the moment could have known it would spread like this.
Having the market nearby makes a morbid kind of sense; easy access to 'suppliers'. They can cook the bats as part of 'sterilizing' excess lab carcasses.

First hospitalization in Slovenia due to corona virus. Sort of. Woman met a relative who just returned from Japan and after he left she washed her face with kitchenware dysenfectant. Now she is treated for chemical burns.

No, the current infection rate is just under 5%, in damn near ideal circumstances for epidemic spread during the early infectious phase. This is with a highly vulnerable elderly population as well, so the fact that we aren't seeing any deaths so far and the symptoms reported are on the mild end of pneumonia is pretty solid confirmation that this entire thing can be summed up with 'China is China' and leave it at that. Shit air, shit sanitation, shit health care, and people who think eating the same stuff that fingernails are made out of if they come from rare and endangered creatures makes their dicks hard.
