China's farmers are fucked. Swine flu has killed their pigs, bird flu will soon kill the poultry and the Wu flu is locking down the cities. Their food supply is limited.

Ideally, it takes months to make a vaccine. There’s clinical trials, and then there’s getting the vaccine manufactured and more importantly, effectively distributed to the infected populations, which can depending on the situation be a possible cluster crap in itself. And that’s all assuming the virus doesn’t mutate (with rumors saying it may already be mutating, no verification yet) and/or build a resistance to the vaccine.

Nevermind, seems the Duke beat me to it. Meanwhile, the Yen has dropped 8 percent while other markets remain stable, at least for the moment.
I can't help shake the feeling it was an escaped Bio Weapon. China wasn't this cryptic with other disease outbreaks they had. This is really sketchy. I can see other governments not wanting to confirm that as fact due to not wanting to cause mass panic.

One site I got claimed from the tweets that are in Chinese is that there was a researcher from one of the labs trying to cover their ass until someone claiming to be a professor unleashed a wall of text about Chinese lab protocols that were quite sloppy to include:
1. Selling of animals used for experiments on the market legal or illegal.
2. Mishandling of animal corpses to save money on cremation
3. I don't know what's SPF but the professor caught two students eating eggs that were experimented on.
4. Experimental pig's meat divided among the lab staff.
