Here in Italy there are rumours of another lockdown from day 10 of January or after. Though considering previous rumours like this turned out to be true, just wrong on the day/date, I am not sure I can call them rumours anymore.

It's not really about convincing "people" though; it's about convincing their followers that they are justified in their actions. Those guys will believe anything, but they have to give them at least something to work with, no matter how divorced from reality their casus belli is.
