I think there is a possibility it was a bio weapon but I think if it was the chinese released it by accident because their people are just that incompetent. Quite simply put the way it all happened shows gross incompetance not maliciousness.

We will either get to the point of just living with the virus the same way we live with many others, or we will let it destroy our freedoms, liberties, and rights in a way our enemies (both foreign and domestic) have long desired.

This isn't about safety anymore, and probably never was; it was about power, and Covid restrictions have given authoritarians in the Fed and State levels a way around a lot of Constitutional limits they ran against before. It also was very useful in pushing mail-in voting to make elections fraud that much easier.

And the people saying the bug may never be gone, and now be endemic to our biosphere, may not be wrong either. Which means there will never be an 'end' to this pandemic.

I'd prefer to give people a harsh, unhappy reality than give them false hope.

Did you not see how the CDC modified it's own definition of 'herd immunity' to make it so it only works with vaccines? Or how they keep finding new 'variants' they act like we will need a whole new vaccine for?

Did you not see how the double standards applied to lefty vs GOP leaning gatherings regarding Covid, or how they are putting illegal aliens at the border ahead of people legally in the US?

Have you not seen how many busybodies are using the virus and mandates to become petty tyrants in so many places?

Do you really think the Dems will let go of the power this bug has handed them?

Dude, I've been dealing with clinical depression since I was fucking 7, and understand the damage false hope does to people already dealing with problems.

I doubt there are many people not depressed on some way by what has happened with Wu Flu, and giving them false hope will only make this worse if things go bad again, or I should say get worse than they already are.

I'll call out legit hope where I see it, but don't ask me to sugar coat things.
