So let's see. A group of people got upset that a vaccine drive didn't match their ideas of what racial and income demographics should be getting the vaccine when. And a person who works in public health had herself and others put on the VIP list. Now, having read the CDC guidelines on who gets the vaccine first myself, I believe public health workers are a priority, though I don't know enough about classification of 'administrator' vs 'front-line worker' to say if this person qualifies. On top of that, the 'broke their own rules' thing is interesting, because those rules were for Manatee County, and it explicitly says that this extra vaccine drive came from the state supply, not the county supply.
Yeah, this could be bad. It could be corruption. It could just as easily not be. Given the vaccines have been in distribution for months now, it doesn't really look like desperate grasping on the part of wealthy elitists to me.
Still could be though. Hopefully someone who does something resembling unbiased journalism will actually look into it and give a clearer picture.

95.8% against contracting the virus
98% against developing symptoms such as fever and respiratory difficulties
99% against hospitalization, serious illness and death – 98.9%, 99.2% and 98.9%.

In earlier trials efficacy of the vaccine ranged from 57% to 66% to 85% (in regards to spreading of serious variants of the disease) but preliminary analysis of its latest trials state the vaccine is now at 88% efficacy which is a smidgen less effective then the two shot vaccines AFAIK but still highly effective if it bears out.

Good. India has a lot of problems as a nation, but 'Communist totalitarian hellscape' is not one of them. They are preferable to th CCP in just about all ways.

Well, this is certainly a relief. While overall I don't really care about wearing a mask or not, my workplace has been mandating that we wear them.
It's annoying to have to wear both a mask and safety glasses at the same time, because my glasses inevitably fog up. Not being able to see around mobile equipment can be much more immediately dangerous to my health than Covid.
And I know I'm not the only one at work who feels that way.
