I take back what I said earlier. It's total garbage.

First, Fundamentalism is, in pretty much every definition I've seen, a theological position. It originally referred to conservative Protestants in America wanting to push back against theological liberals within Protestant intellectual circles. They emphasized things like literal interpretations of Scripture, Dispensationalism, and Substitutionary Atonement Theory. None of these things represent a political ideology at all.

Second, to call me a fundamentalist is laughable. I'm a Roman Catholic. To any fundamentalist worth his Bible, I'm a idolater unworthy of being called a Christian because I pray to Mary and believe in the real presence. And to me, fundamentalists are heretics that must repent for their sins else they'll go to hell.

The people who make that website are ignorant as all get-out.

My politics is a combination of paleoconservative and Catholic integralist. I am, in many ways, opposite of the normal evangelo-con.

I'll just import my old test from Spacebattles...

I wouldn't call myself a progressive socially, since although I hold "progressive positions" on certain topics, I have plenty of contempt for the behavior and ideology that's come to be associated with that label, as well as views on cultural identity that most progressives would probably frown upon. So on a more comprehensive test, I would probably be a bit further right on the Societal Axis. But otherwise I'd say it's more or less accurate.

And since it was in the same place...

And you’re definitely no AnCom, because those guys sorta lose the Anarchy part by wanting it to be on others

Just for fun. 1575726357293.png

The issue with these tests is that you can't always value some of the issues presented on simple lines, as it requires. I would also argue that the Market-Equality line is complicated by a third potential position there: community. Equality seems to assume someone is pursuing the goal of economic equality of outcome, but one can take choices that are against the libertarian laissez-faire free market not out of a desire for such as an end but to promote the needs of the community (including the nation) over the interests of market forces.

Totally. The system doesn’t really understand anything.

I had a friend who developed an incredibly accurate chart which, unfortunately, she has to hand-code the results onto. I would love to get her to make a script and make it available. It was far more capable of showing real beliefs than anything else I have seen.

I feel like some of the questions should be elaborated on as many were far more complex than a simple "Very yes, yes, no, God no!" as I was clicking on the grey box a lot as some of the questions were entirely relevant to the situation and I didn't think it would be right to assume it was on about the situation where I agreed with the application.
