But that lawyer said that sex trafficking can be done through 3 ways force, FRAUD, and coercion. I have not seen anything showing that Tate used force, coercion is a maybe depending on if he took away women's passports or locked them in the house. But fraud would apply if he is lying to the women about how much money he made, because he had to pay tax(when he did not) and so if the contract he made with the women was supposed to be 50/50 but he uses lies and fraud to go to 70/30 that could get him. If you are going to get in the sex bussiness you had best keep your nose clean.

Fair enough. Although it seems like somewhat of a stretch to say that tax evasion is sex trafficking. It could technically be true according to the law as written.

And the motivations for going after him are political.
But at the end of the day, tax evasion is tax evasion.

When he talks about how he started recruiting the girls for it, he basically goes down what Romania calls the boyfriend scam/scheme: pretend you are in love or at least in a relationship, get them to move there, then reveal what you want them to actually do (camming).

Thanks for this. The boyfriend scheme is the term I had heard to describe what Tate did, but clearly either they were wrong or I misheard it. I also don't know the specifics about what exactly Romania bans, but had heard from the same source that this is what Romania bans, considering it human trafficking legally.
