I'm guessing making another cluster ammo plant or four is high on the Lyrans to do list
They've probably got one or two sitting around, but they'd need to get them out of mothballs and running again, which is anon-trivial task. I think it's the FWL that has an LB-10X line just sitting there, but doesn't have the components required to feed it..
Olivetti needs a Marauder line then. It really is the pinnacle of Heavy Mechs and would be an absolute shit kicker.
Good luck getting a license. Also, Olivetti is so heavily financially committed at this point, there one major setback from disaster. They need a decade to pay off some loans before they even think about making another new 'Mech.
That sounds odd, being relieved for cause would generally be followed by either a discharge/resignation or trial. If Katrina can't get rid of officers that demonstrably incompetent or worse the LCAF are in much worse condition than I assumed.
No, really, before Katrina got to it the LCAF was that bad. The Social Generals had/have way too much influence, and the whose thing with Lockheed CBM hasn't resolved yet. After that Katrina will finally have put the kibosh on most of the corruption.
don't be that harsh you can make them decent with lostech. and partisans aren't able to go in as much terrain types
Basically the same reason Weber likes the Helepolis. Walking AAA can just get places that tracked can't, just like flying (if briefly) Snipers can get places a normal SPG couldn't dream of.
So what you're telling me is they could use a few more lines. I agree.
Unless Olivetti wants to resurrect an old design from the FS and start making Hammerhands. Which, by the way, would be fucking sick.
Partnership with somebody in the Suns might indeed be on the table by the time they're looking at an expansion again. You can bet dollars to donuts that somewhere along the line the Feddies are gonna hear about the upteched Centurion and start looking at putting it back into production (They mothballed the lines when they got the Sabre blueprints from the Commonwealth, so they could theoretically put the upteched version into production fairly easily. They'd just need the components for the upgrade.)
