Battletech Welcome to the Jungle

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning
That's basically the W-10 with some foundtech, but it took Davions to do it.
Yep but with more firepower especially aft(where the medium lasers are vastly more useful than the smalle they replace) and slightly less armor in terms of tonnage but with the ferro-aluminum it actually has more points of armor.

Heck, if Weber was able to buy some fixer upper aerospace fighters in some of the places he has visited like Tharkad. He can bring them back to catachan and update them with some things in his stockpile of parts?

Updating them ain't easy and takes a lot of time, after finishing with Stingray upgrade, CAC will probably focus on bringing Vulcan into production, which will be quite an endeavor.

The relevant chapter said he had a full ASF wing with him ie 20 birds(or in other words what a Union CV and Overlord can carry at maximum capacity)and 2 Squadrons left at home with everything but the CAG's Stingray being Centurions so all told 31 Centurions and 1 Stingray
Correction, he had 18 birds with him. His Union CV only carries 12 birds, and uses the spare tonnage for fuel bunkerage. He left two squadrons of Centurions at home, giving him a total of 30 ASFs.

I bet on the Toaster Lovers.
At this time they have the hardware but the training sucks, so easy for the defense.

What are the fixed defenses again? I assume we've got enough AA on the plateau/mountain, which means they'll have to land a out of range of the AA and move in on us. I look forward to their introduction to the wildlife.

Not a lot there yet. The walls are meant to keep the local fauna out and serve as fighting positions for Battlemechs. Turrets were mostly wrecked in the attempted rebellion. They’re waiting on the LCAF to show up to really be in good shape on tanks/AAA and infantry.

It doesn't help that most of the people on the planet with the skills to get the turret spam online are kinda busy setting up the Battlemech lines. Oh I have no doubt that within a year or two there shall be literally hundreds of turrets but for now there's maybe a two or three dozen turrets online which given the size of the holdfast isn't nearly enough to cover it with anything approaching the appropriate levels of density

So a right pain in the ass for anyone whose pilots can't airdrop mechs in mountain terrain, but not as big of a pain as it could be.

At least not until he can import some longtoms and snipers. As long as you can spook the dropships enough to land a beyond artillery range, your turrets have done their job.

They really should have been able to buy replacement turrets in the last five plus years. Not all of them but enough so that Droppers can't land on their front door, or an ASF wing can't blow everything to hell and back.

Only so much money to go around, and as Knowledge suggested, they’ve picked up a few, but Weber only recently got his license to mint Kroner. Technically speaking, he’s only actually sold two Phoenix BattleMechs thus far, and all the money to build the line came out of CAC’s coffers. They were just about broke, which is why they took the Sevren job.
