I'm sorry that Redstone is literally more important due to the fact it involves heavily the whole space thing....

And one needs to remember, keeping things spread out is for the better.
Making Colorado even MORE of a target is good and all, but not needed in one area
You keep forgetting the political aspect of base/command shifting; the only reason it was headed to Redstone to begin with was because Trump was trying to bolster his support in Georgia when it started looking bluer than he'd like.

Also, Colorado is not susceptible to Status-6 hits or hurricanes, Georgia is. Colorado also has more space industry companies and such located close by, and is deeper in the ABM envelope than Georgia could ever be.

A back up or two, maybe at Redstone and somewhere like Nevada, would be reasonable, but the Space Command training pipeline is effectively part of the Air Force Academy as is.

Redstone is in Alabama, and is the HQ for US Rocket development....

Huh, I'd for some reason heard Georgia when it was mentioned elsewhere.

Still, the reasoning about being deeper in the ABM envelope and not having to worry about hurricanes hold's true, as does that Trump was moving it to a red state to punish blue Colorado.

Redstone is in northern alabama...
Not really effected by hurricanes...
And again, the development of Rockets is done there, more important then Colorado

'Rockets' in the military sense are not the same as the mutliple players in the space industry that call Colorado home.

ULA, Sierra Space, the Uni of Colorado Boulder who does a lot of the probes/sats that the Space Force would have to account for, the fact that Front Range Airport has already been set up to become a space port, the 1-bounce to anywhere in the world sat-comm ability available in the Mountain Time Zone that Alabama won't have, the existing training pipeline at the Air Force Academy.

Space Force is not really even about the 'rockets', so much as the stuff the rockets are putting in orbit, and Musk is going to have more of that work than any DoD rocket group.

And Redstone is closer then Colorado to the location of where he launches....

One of the launch locations; you forget Musk uses Vandenburg too. Colorado is centrally located for launches from Vandenburg, Boca Chica, and Cape Canaveral.

And there is no Space Force training pipeline at Redstone either, compared to what exists at the Air Force Academy.

Yes, the officers, AKA the people who do the important shit in those branches.

Remember, the Air Force, and Space Force, are not structured around supporting a lot of grunts and NCO who do most of the fighting.

In the AF, it's mostly officers at the sharp end of things, due to how pilot rules are structured, and grunts/NCO are mostly the support crew, not the sharp end.

Uhhh..
You do know the AF/SF enlisted do most of the work for space/intel right?

And yet their boss's still come out of Colorado Springs for the most part.

Basic being in Texas in no way invalidates that the training pipeline at the Air Force academy and the AF/SF infrastructure in place around it (ignoring Ft. Carson and it's Army Spec Ops/Mountain ops role) means there is far, far less that needs to be 'moved/reset' in a switch to Redstone.

Plus, as I said a few times now, this sort of thing is very political, and the only reason that SF HQ was moved away from Colorado Springs to begin with was a political decision by Trump in order to 'punish' a blue Colorado.

You...don't know how the it works...
And there isn't much anyway, it would actually allow for a boom in the area kf Alabama for one, and fir two it allows the USSF to have more work with Redstone fir the DoDs rocketry and easier.
As well as allows an easier way to get more info on the systems sending things up.

And domt even start woth pipelines.
West Point is in New York while only one major base is Drum.

Enlisted do more work in all branches then officers will often say.
