Now that's a good question that we'll never know. But I do think some in the CO congressional delegation likely lobbied Biden to keep Space Command HQ in Colorado Springs, CO.

There is a lot more reason to have the Space Force headquartered in CO/Colorado Springs than there is moving it all the way to Redstone.

There is a lot more reason to have the Space Force headquartered in CO/Colorado Springs than there is moving it all the way to Redstone.

Because RedStone is literally the rocket home of the DoD.....

Space Command was a subset of the Air Force and already operating out of the area, before Trump tried to move it to Redstone to help his/the GOP's chances in Georgia/punish blue Colorado (the real reason it was moved).

I'm sorry that Redstone is literally more important due to the fact it involves heavily the whole space thing....

And one needs to remember, keeping things spread out is for the better.
Making Colorado even MORE of a target is good and all, but not needed in one area
