Biden Threatens Supreme Court Justices to Their Faces in State of the Union Address (Video)

Noticed that. I was shaking my head saying "You're going to regret pissing those folks off".

The 1993 movie, 'The Pelican Brief' brought me right here. Just saying!

Honestly, Biden at this point in time has pissed off a whole lot of people and has so much fucking legally actionable dirt on him. If he's allowed to mearly slink off he would be lucky. If he's unlucky then all of the conquences comes back to haunt him big time.

Let's not forget about the ambitious Democratic Governors like Newsom (CA), Whitmer (MI), Shapiro (PA), Moore (MD) & Pritzker (IL) waiting in the wings once Biden loses to Trump in November.

Why would they wait? Does Biden look strong or does he look weak enough one of them could become Emp I mean President.

If you've worked your way down to MD's Moore, I'm curious what you think of MN's Walz in that context. (WI's Evers is too old. Not as old as Biden but people are going to be tired of oldsters by 2028 no matter who wins this year.)

Biden mixing up his lines and mumbling?
What a throwback to my teen years, the 1980s, when Brezhnev and other zombies ruled the USSR, and Reagan was developing Alzheimer ...
Reagan didn’t have Alzheimer’s in office.

This is him in 1989 giving his farewell address at the age of 77. Does he sound anything like Joe Biden?

He didn’t die of Alzheimer’s until over 15 years later at the age of 93.

I think he was in the early stages of it around this time according to his family. Also Raegan was an actor so he had above average talent at remember lines and such.

Has Walz ever been rumored as a contender for the White House ? I know he's currently Chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.

Not that I know of but then again I don't particularly keep my ear to the ground on that topic. I definitely hadn't heard Moore's name in that context either. Little to none for Shapiro or Pritzker. On the other hand, the speculation around Newsom seems inescapable and Whitmer is a fairly common counterpoint.

I remember how back in the day, online left leaning people insisted that Trump's victory could lead to everything from mass murder of LBTQ people to nuclear war.
What instead happened was a plethora of petty scandals and one ineffectual attempt to overthrow the Republic that only ended with one rioter shot dead and everyone else rounded up and jailed with heavy sentences. The Democrats, if anything, gained more votes because the voters saw their President being an idiot every day on social media and Creative after Creative started walking into the Bash Trump trend that New York liberal creators started in the 80s.

I fancy we may be watching history repeat. Even if Trump wins, his efforts to take over government will be a farce, media will continue to make a laughing stock out of him day in and day out, more Purple states will turn blue, and there will be one or two MAGATerror attacks that will be crushed with immense prejudice. Followed by Trump losing (again), and Democrats turning everything outside the Deep South blue.

Trump is just the beingining.

And when you say we are watching history repeat...well I agree but I don't think were talking about the same history. The fact is Trump rose because americas managerial class has been ignoring domestic issues for way too long and has over time become cultish and disconnected with the civilizations they run.

This has happened numerous times in human history and it rarely ends well.

That part is quite true. Trump is merely a symptom of a cause, and that cause is the alienation of certain classes from the neoliberal agenda of the US elites that rose after the fall of the USSR.

From the left, it was moving from outright socialism to socialism-adjacent topics. The so called Watermelon Politics of communists infiltrating and subverting minority racialist groups, environmental groups, Palestinian groups, feminists, LGBT activism and many others.
From the right, it was the rise of the Neocons and their obsession with foreign wars as well as their dedication to just obstructing Liberal policies for a decade or two rather than pushing conservative policies.

Trump supporters basically think the Republican Party can't be trusted and that the so called New Left is an increasingly larger threat to them. And after the failure of the social system post the 60s, lack the restraint or means to affect politics themselves. So the natural result is....well, supporting radicals who promise to bring it all down.

its adorable that you think this is the radical phase it really is.

This is the reform phase, this is the part in time where you can solve the underlying issues with some mass firings, some pretty serious reforms and generally forcing the more delusional people out of office. Do that and things would settle down realatively quickly.

You shouldn't worry about trump you should be worried about the guy who comes 30 years after Trumps been destroyed. You will weep tears of blood when that man comes.
