I'm sure that's part of it, but there is no doubt in my mind he genuinely loves America and wants to do whatever he can to make it better.
He loves America, that I don't doubt; but I'm no longer sure he is the best one to save it.
That one I doubt. He took a 1 dollar salary and had any business he was involved in attacked relentlessly. I'm absolutely certain he lost a lot of money by being president.
Yeah, that's not what I mean.
I mean the way he and his people are always trying to hit up 2020 campaign donors to fund his rallies and such now, and the way his campaign harangued donors during the campaign.
The campaign seemed like it rarely crosschecked their donation lists when they sent out texts or emails asking for money, where you'd get redundant, sometimes rather aggressively worded texts/emails asking why you didn't donate, when you just donated an hour or day ago. They never put in the real effort to crosscheck that stuff, had the 'money bomb' 'double your donation/make donation recur monthly' buttons at that were auto-clicked and had to be 'opted out of' in every damn donation transaction, and they used the names of GOP members/Trump family members falsely in mass texts to make it seem like it was some big shot personally trying to get money for Trump.
There is a reason I never went to a rally, or accepted the many 'invitations/contest entries' for trips to rallies or meet Trump, and it's because as bad as the Dems are/were, I didn't truly trust the Trump campaign was being honest instead of just trying to get as much cash as possible.
