Getting this out of the way now, here's your one-stop shop for everything related to Trump's 2nd term as president of the United States of America.

This is a list things Trump can do to improve things for the Second Amendment that has been sent to Donald Trump Jr:
Article:
What can a president do completely unilaterally for gun rights? Here's a list:

- Repeal Bush 41’s assault weapon import ban

- Redefine “armor-piercing ammo” to re-allow banned ammo types

- Redefine 922(r) out of existence

- Bring back kitchen table FFLs, and make a new internet-sales FFL (this is in the 2017 ATF white paper)

- Repeal the photos and fingerprints parts of ATF Rule 41F (an Obama-era rule change), so that trusts don’t need photos and fingerprints for their members. (Careful here: Rule 41F also changed “you need CLEO approval” to “you just need to notify your CLEO, but they can’t stop you” — that was a very important positive change to keep.)

- Expansive allowance for pistol braces. Make it official that anything goes.

- Grant a blanket lawful purposes exemption for gun possession to people in the country on nonimmigrant visas (tourists, students, etc.)

- Machine gun amnesty

- Presumptive approvals for Form 1s and Form 4s. They approve it instantly, and then can claw it back months later or whatever if you get denied. This is how NICS checks already work — if you don’t get a yes/no within 3 days, you can take the gun home and then they just claw it back if you eventually get rejected.

- C&R firearms are defined as any gun more than 50 years old, or *any gun that the ATF deems to be a C&R*. They could add a massive influx of modern guns to the C&R list. Basically all the cool ‘70s–‘90s guns. There’s no reason the Steyr AUG and MP5 and FAL and the like shouldn’t be considered classics. Hell, AKs too.

And some potential SCOTUS picks:
Article:
Most likely Supreme Court nominees if there are any vacancies during the next Trump administration:
- Amul Thapar (6th Circuit)
- Andy Oldham (5th Circuit)
- James Ho (5th Circuit)

Sotomayor is on the Retirement Watch.

Trump isn't exactly strong on the 2nd, and his broad coalition includes too many opposed groups for him to spend political capital.

DOGE is going to be interesting, as it might be more like the National Space Council than a real executive department. I can't see Elon possibly taking up a cabinet secretary role without leaving his roles in his companies, which seems unlikely. He can't possibly be actively firing bureaucrats trying to regulate him, that has to be done indirectly.

I will make a risky prediction: US Air Force General Charles Q. 'C.Q.' Brown, Jr., will NOT last long as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Trump's 2nd term.

Trump already has a plan for his second term. Project 2025 will see the goose-stepping begin as...
Okay, I'm going to be honest, I have that setup but I don't really have a punchline for it other than how it's Heritage Foundation wet-dream nonsense that has about as much chance of happening as I have of winning the lottery (I do not buy lottery tickets).

It was pure internet-rumor that got debonked by the man himself, but someone somewhere in the depths of the internet floated Thomas Massie as Secretary of Agriculture and that made me tilt my head and nod a bit considering how close he's been involved with meatpacking legislation and the general business environment around that where it's a nightmare.

Laughed at this tweet about the US Department of Education realizing Trump's going to have it abolished altogether.

Considering outside of certain professions (and even among those a lot of it seems to be learn on the job after a certain base level of a knowledge) it seems to be a combination of luck, attractiveness, whether you know someone and how badly they need someone, I am not sure how much education is really needed beyond knowing how to read. My personal experience in the job market is that they don't fucking care and have extreme requirements(they end up hiring from within or if you have an in) because "knowledge/diplomas" are over saturated.

Oh no, education is very important.

People should be taught how to do taxes, civics should be a required class, science is a great course to keep even if it can only teach critical thinking, PE is required to help teach people how to safely work out, and people should be taught the basic things about computer security and how they work.

Oh, and how to cook and manage finances.

Looks like Trump has plans starting on memorial day 2025 for a grand national celebration or series of festivities leading up to and culminating in the 250th anniversary or birthday of the United States.
Apparently the main attraction will be a Great American State Fair.

It is intended to last all the way up to the 4th of July in 2026.

Thoughts?

Does this deserve its own thread?

It's a waste of public funds that can be better spent rebuilding areas hit by the disaster, and then expanding tax cuts.

There is a way to save on public funds. Stop giving illegal immigrants free stuff. Or at best they get American minimum wage. That would be $7.25 an hour for 40 hours. There funding problem solved.
Don't forget to take taxes out of that wage, and also to garnish for SS and medicaid. Then, since it's full time pay, make sure to garnish for their federal health care. Then inform them they must file their IRS forms quarterly since we don't know if they'll remain in the US a full year.
