the correct VFX scale of the Deadalus class is like 700 meters
link for the how the scales look here
They finally fixed her size between 680 meters to some 720. She's big. Give her some Andromeda missiles, some secondary Hellbores and infinite repeater batteries and top it off witj Asgard Plasma Beams and she's perfect.

Seems more reasonable size wise..and yeah she'll have Andromeda style smart missiles and Drones..As to the Asgardian beam weapons....Thor would actually need permission from Hathor to traffic guns to the Tau'Ri :ROFLMAO: But certain future events means that permission might be granted post haste.

They might also get some of Ba'al's sweet gravity weapons. I'm not sure yet, he's kept those pretty close to the vest because of how energy efficient they are and how effective they are. But I could see him using them as guinea pigs in exchange for a few million tons of sugar or something.

How big should I make the battleships then?

Damn if the Nova's aren't sweet...

I do have a question for the panel though.

How many cold war nuclear missiles missiles can I reasonably get away with them having "decommissioned" IE sent over to Area 51 to be stored and maintained in case of alien invasion.

They'd have had from 1948 to 2002, before Kensey began to make back end moves to cut off their supply, for...reasons...And how many of them can they realistically start enhancing with refined Naquadah...before June 2021?

probably a few hundred

Only that? Even if they're just scooping up the antiques when the US switched from nukes dropped from planes to ICBMs plus nukes dropped from planes?

Damn. I guess they can augment that with naquadah enhanced conventional missiles
to be fair hiding the removal of nuclear missiles for storage and not destruction would be hard as hell to do

Not a problem, on another note I get the feeling that a lot of the ships Earth will design in this story are directly going to come from fictional sources as the inspiration in story not just out of it. At least in terms of hull design

Fair enough!

So at most 300?

A few ideas to get the nukes to area 51.

You could do upgrade programs
Nukes to fuel program
Testing new a Orion spacecraft project
Area 51 would make a great nuclear weapons grade uranium to fuel reprocessing facility.
Or nuclear powered toilets.

A lot of ways the government can spend its hard earned dollars. Plenty of opportunities to have things fall off the back of a truck in a grand canyon of black ink.

Just to note. There would be a lot of nukes.

Thanks for the link! Yeah that's what I was thinking, that they would use a cover of "Decommissioning" and "fuel extraction" to gradually begin repurposing everything from Castle Bravo type bombs to minutemen and everything. Taking out the fissile material and storing it or rearming it for vessels.

Those are all great excuses too, given the length of time and all the engineering and skunkworks that was happening at that facility anyway.

I was thinking they could have gradually amassed enough for like 3,400 Nukes, but it looks like they could squirrel away ten thousand or so, over the decades...even with Kensey's muckery.

Well in theory they would just "decommission" and scrap the nukes there, discard the old school missiles and keep the material in storage..Plus wouldn't all the worlds spy agencies be focused on the supposed stealth planes and other things happening in the facility?
