Absolutely revolting, Dudley Do-Right these Mounties ain't - bunch of bloodthirsty, sadistic bullies who clearly get off on pummeling unarmed protesters into hamburger and think trampling a granny with a walker beneath a horse is 'awesome'.
keep in mind this is an organization that would go into indiginous communities and kill their dogs just because they could.

What a surprise, it's almost as if they've been selecting for political obedience for years with all the social justice stuff. The people pushing it the hardest didn't care at all about what the social justice topic of the day was, they were just looking for compliance. Anyone takes a moral stand or doesn't mouth the words? Fire them and hire someone that will.

Unfortunately, the uniformed thugs are probably desperately looking through their group's members for the whistleblower as I write this post and so the RCMP will have one less 'good cop' in their ranks in short order, maybe as early as later this morning.

I'm not sure I quite understand the hysterics over this at times. People have been getting destroyed for standing up to the regime in North America for years and years. People just cheered because the left labeled them as racist, fascist or luddites. It's honestly a little hysterical seeing the outrage from closeted normies who are protesting for the first time. What did they think was going to happen?
Honestly all that's changed is that more average people are aware that there is and has been ongoing suppression of the political right. A lot of the usual subtle unpersoning tricks that were used by rote at this point turned out to be a poor fit for so such a large protest.
I mean they went down the checklist. Downplay that any kind of protest is even happening. Smear the protest as being racist or luddite. Downplay the number of people involved. Play up all possible negative fringes, while inserting as many useful false flags as possible. Intimidate and claim some sort of moral highroad. Then mass arrests followed by totally unreported on trials and massive punitive fines. At this point it's old hat, they've done it so many times in the last decade. Shit anyone remember Occupy Wallstreet? They turned outrage over bank and big corp bailouts into putting a mic in front of every socialist they could bus in.

Well the store selves are getting empty, the government is intruding more and more into your private life and the political class wants you to eat bugs and live in a pod while they live in luxury unseen and heard of while proclaiming themselves great socialists.

It's honestly depressing that the situation in Canada has gotten to this point; and I'm really hoping something happens that will cause the government to capitulate and oust Trudeau without violence being necessary.

His comparison is very much apt. If you look at Romanian history Ceausescu denied anything was going on until the last possible second, he had media play it off and slander the people and completely refused to even try and address any of the concerns unlike a lot of the other Iron Curtain countries who near the end at least tried some reform. The end came to him when he tried to setup another propaganda broadcast but the secret police couldn't filter people well enough and hecklers showed up, taking advantage of a pause he took to breathe while spouting propaganda to beging heckling and shattering the image of a unified Romania against reactionary agitators.
He would die shortly later, shot against a wall after a 15 minute trial.
