The Americas The Tyranny of Trudeau's Canada

Be realistic, if there's a Canadian populist revolt, what're the chances the US military would be called in to defend the status quo? Ninety percent? A hundred?

Win a war with our current leadership?

yeah just going to laugh harder.

Militarily breaking up the convoy is off the table, at least for now. IMO it will probably remain that way indefinitely, considering how chronically underfunded the CAF has been and how much more the soldiers have in common with the truckers than the pampered downtown Ottawans they'd be bailing out. I would bet deploying troops against the protests was actually Trudeau's Plan A, and the brass refusing (regardless of reason, whether it's any remaining smidge of patriotism at those upper levels or pragmatic acknowledgment that the horrible optics & lack of resources will make such an operation impossible) is why he bravely ran away to an undisclosed location even before the convoy entered Ottawa.

What are they going to do? Arrest all those drivers and impound the trucks? That will sure help with the logistics issues. They can let the protests happen or they can further damage the country or (not going to happen) give in. I'm wondering why Trudeau isn't facing a no confidence vote by now.

The Canadian military domt even get bullet proof vests
Wait, seriously.

That's...kinda disturbing, in this day and age. Those vests aren't exactly rare items these days.

Feeling kinda sorry for the CAF if they are that ill-equipped.

CAF high command is as woke as the Liberals. They opposed Trudeau's plan because they knew that the rank and file would mutiny if they received such orders. As soon as they see the peaceful protestors, they will realize they're lied to and join the protestors.

Basically what happened at Tiananmen in 1989 before the CCP sent in their special troops.

Conservative are basically libtards with blue ties. That's why.

The only real opposition is the PPC, who is too small right now.

That's not true. The CAF does have bulletproof vests.

Sorry to double post, but this is urgent.

Ottawa is sending in their SS troopers and their Gestapo.

And they beat up a 80 year old veteran in the process.

Military will not be deployed because the libtards know they will defect immediately.

BREAKING: Tactical police and dog squad move in on 'Freedom Camp' - Rebel News

It's Canada's Tiananmen and as a Chinese-Canadian, I feel compelled to join the protestors on Saturday.

I refuse to allow my home to become a genocidal dictatorship.

Long live Canada, true North strong and free!

EDIT: I misread the article. It's in Canberra not Ottawa. Sorry for the panic everyone.

They are ill equipped. Maybe nit AS ill equipped but still not good

Not wide spread enough to not issue them to every one all the time like the US.
I got a buddy in Canadian Infantry.

I'd agree that that's almost certainly the case, and the certain outcome if the CAF is sent in. Popular momentum as a whole is on the side of the truckers - 54% of Canadians are now against COVID restrictions and the Bloc Quebecois have turned against Trudeau, criticizing him for hurling all those accusations of various -isms at the Freedom Convoy. I doubt the rank-and-file of the CAF feels much differently.

Would add that the real obstacle to taking Trudeau down at this juncture is the NDP. Formerly the workingman's and union's party, they've long since been completely parasitized by the New Left types and their current leader Jagmeet Singh is pretty much a puppet of the Liberals and their woke-corporate masters. (He had a bit of a scandal recently when it was revealed that he was advertising for corporations on his Instagram) Guy's been responsible for keeping Trudeau's minority government afloat and I suspect he won't turn against the latter anytime soon, if ever.

That's in Australia, fortunately for us and unfortunately for them. AFAIK the cops on the ground in Ottawa still do not dare to do anything to the truckers, it's just their brass that's (entirely impotently) whining about it and hinting at how the military may need to execute any anti-trucker orders for them.

But yes, it's important that we show the truckers we support them regardless. It really feels like we're at a turning point, and might well inspire more people to put cracks in other dictatorships around Clown World - doesn't seem like the Australian convoys in this particular case are backing down, no matter how many seniors the government's jackboots kick around.

Ok.

Makes sense if you put it that way.

I asked my father (he's active duty in the CAF) what he would do if he was ordered to open fire on the protestors.

He told me that he would refuse to carry out the order because it would amount to murder.

Oh shit.
I made a big dumb.

Very sorry about the panic I may have caused.

No worries, happens to all of us from time to time. And it's especially understandable in times like now, when emotions and energy are both running high.

Anyway, I myself will not be able to go to Ottawa this weekend to express my support for the truckers there in person, because a family matter requires me to be in Toronto instead...where another convoy is due to protest at Queen's Park starting this Saturday. Suffice to say, that's an incredibly happy coincidence and one I'll be jumping on while in Toronto.

It's also worth noting that despite having had to witness the goings-on in Ottawa like the rest of our political class and being quite liberal themselves, John Tory (Toronto's mayor) and friends have not dared say anything along the lines of 'these far-right bigoted chuds aren't welcome in our city' and have instead had to limit themselves to 'organizers, pretty please keep talking to us and play nice while you're here'. Doug Ford can't afford to piss the truckers and their supporters off either, considering this is an election year and the aforementioned crowd are a key voting bloc for his party.

They have old as fuck vests with old as fuck plates if they do get them.
But thye exist, barley

Heres some facts from the ground....most of the cops actually support the protestors. They hate Trudeau and the city govt for caving to the BLM shit. They arent doing anything unless forced to. There an amusing tweet out there where some chick was whining to an officer to do his job and he told her "Sorry, I am too busy eating my donut"

Most of the stores in the byward market love these guys. They are polite. They dont steal. They have intimidated the bums and delinquents and are buying every scrap of food and supplies they can.

The horns arent honking 24/7. There are certain times the horns are quiet..even the truckers gotta sleep

Right now they are assembling a set of wooden huts for a community kitchen and depots of some kind.

was sitting out on the porch taking a break from work and listened to as the honkers were honking out tunes in a kind of honker orchestra.

When the real gigachads show up to chase away the betas.

I believe they're respecting the 11pm to 7am no noise bylaw.

Right now they are assembling a set of wooden huts for a community kitchen and depots of some kind.
I've heard that there are way more trucks parked in lots outside of downtown and that some are driving down to Toronto to do the same thing to Queen's Park.

It's going to be so much fun watching the heart of wokedom, cry and whinge about the honkers.

Canadian Heavy Metal Orchestra.

Ottawa's their debut.

Toronto's next on the tour schedule.
