Any good sources I could go read for further background on this? Think this will hit the courts?
From what I've heard, the Texas Education Agency is moving ahead with taking over Houston ISD following the 2022-23 school year and the Superintendent and elected members of the HISD School Board of Trustees will be replaced altogether come June 1.

Here's what the Texas Tribune discussed on the TX Education Agency going full-steam ahead with taking over the Houston Independent School District, which means this is the beginning of the end for Houston ISD Superintendent Millard House, II & the elected current members of the Houston Independent School District Board of Trustees, all of whom will be out of jobs come June 1st, 2023.
