TX Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R) all but announced he's seeking reelection to 4th term in 2026, which if successful, it will make him the Lone Star State's 2nd longest-serving Lieutenant Governor with 16 years by January 21st, 2031. I should note that the legendary William P. Hobby, Jr., (D), who served as the Lone Star State's 37th Lieutenant Governor from January 16th, 1973 to January 15th, 1991 for 5 terms & 18 years, still holds the all-time record as the longest-serving TX Lieutenant Governor.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says he’ll run for reelection in 2026, reversing previous plan to retire

Morning. I see the triggered snowflakes are demanding NCAA, NBA, MLB, NFL boycott Texas because Governor Abbott is banning DEI in state government agencies including colleges and universities across Texas.
That's funny. None will simply b/c the amount of money that Texas brings to those organizations. I don't think they want to piss off that many money'd people.
Shit the Dallas Cowboys are the wealthiest sports franchise in the world IIRC.

Howdy fellow Texan. I strongly concur with you because I do NOT see MLB, NBA, NFL & NCAA boycotting the Lone Star State. Big question is whether Abbott ups the ante by abolishing HBCUs across the Lone Star State including banning the NAACP altogether ?
A. ) YES
B.) NO: Political suicide
C.) TBD

B. Why would he want to?

It's just a matter of making sure that NO school may make admission decisions based on race. I think that'd be popular enough. Especially if he backed that up with legislation that stated your kids school money, raised through property taxes and the like, followed your child even if they went to a private school.

Yet the snowflakes are hell-bent on demanding an economic boycott of TX. Something tells me this boycott push will blow up in the faces of the uppity WOKE freaks.

Hell, I will go further: I want Abbott to win reelection to a historic 4th term in a bigger landslide victory in 2026.
