Jobs ahoy.
Unfortunately it says no new jobs will be created in the article. OTOH it is nice to see that the whole “exodus to the EU” that Remoaners complained about isn’t happening.
Still I think more people are going to shift to the UK now that it’s no longer around as a moderating influence on Europe (insofar as such a thing existed anyway). The delays were over the trade agreement and COVID...once things get back to normal, then I expect things will shift.
I mean, we have Macron in deep shit over his failure to unfuck France, we have Germany busy screwing Eastern Europe over in favor of Russia, and we have Italy, who just appointed a new prime minister because they don’t want the right to win power and force a reckoning that results in a no-win scenario for the EU (honestly, I’m looking forward to that).
Meanwhile you have the UK which, for all the problems it does have, is at least out of the EU and as time goes by likely to continue to shut down and shut up the idiots who got them into this mess. And as the Only Sane Country among the European majors, I suspect things will get very interesting.
