This trailer has been making the rounds.

From the guy who brought us trippy films like Memento, Inception and Interstellar... I guess now it's time (hurr hurr) for him to tackle time travel themes I suppose.

Anyone intrigued? I'm not quite sold on it myself yet. But... Christopher Nolan does make pretty good movies pretty consistently. Even his worst films are pretty good.

There anymore details on what it's about? What the basic premise is?

Given that Nolan doesn't really make bad movies and what the trailer shows look like it could be interesting, it makes the list for watching whenever it hits the streaming services at least.

I haven't bothered digging into it too much but it seems to involve some sort of espionage plot like a proper spy thriller movie mixed in with some sort of time loop/time travel shenanigans. And apparently the goal of the plot is to prevent World War Three or something.

A terrible explanation for what will probably be an amazing movie. :p

Noland movies since Batman have been to 'clever' for their own good, Interstellar was an absolute mess for instance. Batman Dark Knight Rises whilst an okay movie also had some of the symptoms of this too.

A great movie has re-watch value in my opinion and his movies increasingly don't have that really.

He already played around with time travel in 'Interstellar' with the silly magical time travelling black hole bookcase or whatever the fuck that was. I'd want to read some pretty good audience reviews before I'd give this a solid chance at a watch.

Nolan is a good director and fairly good storyteller, but yeah I think he’s kind of bought his own hype.

And is convinced of his own genius beyond reason.

I’ve liked a lot of Nolan’s stuff. We will see how this goes, it certainly seems like an interesting premise, but just a little too familiar....

Yeah, this is kind of just Timecop but taken more seriously.

Eh?
Hey, look. Professor Moriarty got his hands on time travel technology.

That's all I have to say. It's about three minutes of action laced with a little hint of plot. It doesn't look like Christopher Nolan's best work. It looks like an excuse to film explosions in reverse.
