It'd erase the skin pretty well, but the black carapace underneath would resist a lot of the damage so that the marine could remain combat capable afterwards.

I meant the T-850, it should've turned him into a metal skeleton ala Terminator 1.
...Then again they ARE aware Terminators have more vulnerable tubing and other stuff right?...Oh hell. X_X
I'm not sure if even the Black Carapace would withstand a gigajoule energy weapon though.

It shouldn't the only thing that's tanking that is 40k Terminator armor and 40k Terminator armor would get damaged.
Unless we're interpreting Bolters to be automatic Javelins the regular armor isn't close to taking one hit.
The issue with these sorts of comical outliers is you end up with "T-850 can tank a GIGAJOULE PLASMA CANNON TO THE CHEST, but his head can be popped off with a hit"
Like sure a VERY strong hit, but not one happening at supersonic velocities which is what you'd need given the laughable strength of his armor.

Well its not comical, the T-850 only has one appearance and so does the TX. Both only scale to each other so no anti feats can be used to make them look bad lol
