Also I just remembered that Ripley tried using grenades on the queen in Aliens, and all it did was piss her off and make her detach herself from her egg sack, so grenades might not be the best idea against a queen. Lol

She fired the grenades into the big eggsack, which is not really a vulnerable spot because it's just an ovipositor/womb that she can detach from without dying.
A direct hit on the Queen with one of those grenades might've hurt her pretty badly, at least the OG 15 foot Queen.

I know of the scene, one of my favorite films. XD
But those grenades didn't particularly explode that close to big Queenie, it's not Ripley is known for her throwing abilities and all that.
You'd be surprised how survivable explosions can be even for humans, it's the fragments which really do most of the wounds/killings with bombs/grenades.
And seeing as the Queen is a 15 foot tall armor plated space monstrosity, I'm not too sure those fragments would be too effective against her.

So considering explosions aren't really all that effective against the Queen unless its like right underneath her, plasma grenades... well they're also highly resilient to fire/heat so it probably wouldn't have that much of an effect, we see the one in Alien 3 get 10-15 tons of boiling hot lead dumped on it and that didn't seem to work

Plasma is so much laughably hotter than molten lead, and the lead seemed to make the Runner exceptionally pissed off, as it immediately tried killing a Queen embryo host.
A stuck plasma grenade should really hurt if not kill a Queen, but indirect explosions might not hurt her too badly.

Oh if he managed to get close enough to hurl a direct hit at a Queen I don't doubt that should kill her, but I was talking about indirect explosions...should've mentioned that lol
