I was never as into Limbaugh as many, listened to him a lot when I did delivery driving in college, but also often found him to be a bit abrasive for my personal tastes. But he knew how to put together a radio show that was both informative and entertaining, and his voice will be sorely missed.

I think every conservative listened to Limbaugh at some point and time. I hadn't listened recently either. But his show after 9/11 helped me get through it...him and surprisingly, Art Bell (no, I didn't take him seriously, more like laughed my ass off at the latter.)

I used to listen, stopped a long while ago because I didn't really care for his style. But listen to him growing up and reading the books he wrote was a big influence on me when I was a kid, and his impact on US politics was so massive I'm not really sure you could reliably measure it, given how pervasive it was.

Right now the Wikipedia page has also replaced his picture with images of penises though hopefully that will get taken care of soon, that's why I'm not linking it. Glad to see they're staying classy.

Limbaugh was the last of the great radio talk show hosts. I suspect the media itself will die down now as his personality was basically keeping it on life support.

There's some real pieces of work out there.

It's so low class to celebrate his death.

This is a sad day. I used to listen to his radio show from time to time. Rush Limbaugh and I parted ways on a number of important issues a while back, but I always respected his contributions to the political debate and now I wish that I had listened to him a bit more. When Rush started his radio show there wasn't much conservative media out there. We had the Fairness Doctrine censoring and regulating conservative content on TV and radio, there was no internet or even Fox News. Rush gave a voice to a lot of the voiceless.

My father-in-law, @SergeantBrother's dad, listened to Rush almost every day for the past 30 years. I haven't had the chance to talk to him yet, but he must be really sad

Used to listen to him on Sirius when i would ride with my dad and he had the talk shows on. Was to young to really understand and when I was older I still did not focus much on politics. He made a huge contribution to how Conservatives had to adapt and find new mediums to get their message across.

I wonder who will be thenext big medium breaking conservative commentator.
