Metatron actually did an interesting video response to the comments made by the Director and the Producer (Jada Pinkett Smith) in regards to the blackfacing of Cleopatra.

Even more appreciatively, he spent the last portion of the video to talk about the Kandake of Kush whom was referenced earlier in this thread that challenged Rome and invaded their provinces before a Roman expedition was launched into Kush, defeating them. Towards the end of the tale he actually brought up some interesting archaeological finds and other recent scholarship which indicates there might be a lot more to the story of 'Queen Amanirenas' then the Roman writers and popular history as we know it has told so far.

1% audience score.
Well now it's 2%.

I'm actually more impressed it also has less than 20% from critics (13% as of this post) as usually you find that these movies get a ton of critical praise and then the actual audience hates it, it looks like everybody hates Cleopatra. Either they forgot to bribe the critics or it's just that terrible.

1% audience score.

All episodes have 1 star ratings, with over 5k reviews a piece.
As it deserves.

Western colonialism was bad, period, and the reviving Eurocentrism of the post-Cold War world order is just as bad, but that doesn't justify Afrocentrism in response.

The NPC's were cognitively bricking. "Wait but marginalizing middle easterners is problematic, but Africans are Egyptian, but, they are white so this is racist but they're Muslims so they're minorities and black Americans and muh 400.000 years of American slavery! Error, error, error!"

Power vacuums have always prompted forces to fill them
You have to blame Anthropologist of the late 19th Century and Early 20th Century for that. Anytime they found advanced ruins in subsaharan Africa. They would move Heaven and Earth to shoehorn in White People built it. Even when it was pretty clear it was built by Black Africans. Great Zimbabwie. Cities of the Mali Empire, The Nubian Pyramids, The Songhai cities. Each and every time they did that. Causing the opposite backlash that we are now dealing with.

Zahi Hawass appears to have released his response to Cleopatra in the form of a nearly 90-minute documentary which is free to watch on Youtube. The comment section is full of positivity, in the form of nearly 2500 (as of this writing) people praising it for its frank look at Cleopatra and slamming Jada Pinkett Smith's abomination. The like ratio's overwhelmingly positive at 12k likes to 280 angry Afrocentrists' dislikes as well, quite the change from the Netflix trailer. (As noted upthread, it seems Pinkett Smith's '''''documentary''''' is so awful that not only does it have a 2% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but even the media establishment's pet critics can't bring themselves to praise it.)

Also, he published an article in which he delivers what I believe to be the most succinct summary of Afrocentrist idiocy I've ever read on the Internet that wasn't posted on 4chan or Kiwi Farms, and thus doesn't also drop an N-bomb every other word.

"African-Americans have entered a fallacy, they are a minority and raise these lies in order for the world to say that the Egyptian civilization is a black civilization, but our film answered them strongly."

Imagine creating so terrible that not even the shill media can defend it. Something so inept that it makes The Rings of Power look good.

And then consider that you've accidentally done more to crush Afrocentric revisionist bullshit than any of its critics could have managed.

It's almost worthy of an award.

Egyptians can be surprisingly competent when properally motivated.

If I'm reading the figures correctly, this is currently the lowest-rated program ever on Rotten Tomatoes and quite possibly it's the lowest-rated program ever created.

That last depends on a bit on how you look at it, as figures for absolutely everything don't exist and there's probably, like, some Youtube Poop video with zero likes or something similar but it's lagging behind everything ever professionally produced.

Yup. I think there are some crappy films that have 0%, but I'm not aware of any series doing this poorly before.

Haters gonna hate. This Cleopatra series is breaking records!

Look at that Rotten Tomatoes score!
The fact that is worst rated than Cuties is very very disturbing. And if you don't know what Cuties is look it up and you will see what I mean

Youtube responded to this video by mass demonatizing all 800+ of his videos.
