Middle East Pompeo arrives in Qatar as peace talks between Taliban-Afghan open up

Which leaves an interesting happening once the US leaves. Pakistan is China's bitch thanks to the debts they owe and Afghanistan's Taliban owes them a lot of favors.

Once big bad Uncle Sam leaves what now when Pakistan is sucking off from the Chinese?
Easy, then we get Soviet invasion 2, potentially with the US continuing to fund the Northern Alliance against the Chinese (the mujahadeen group who remained friendly with us) and the Russians and Indians picking their own groups, to have China stick their arm in razor wire and salt.

What fun it will be for the next party to be elected.

But the US already has parties willing to look the other way with the Ughurs.

Am i the only one who sees where this is going?

Sorry, distacted with a little bit of personal drama. I mean, it makes sense, in the same way it would make sense for Donald "maybe we shouldn't start WWIII" Trump could be the preffered pick of Russia, depending on your interpetation of the balance of things back in 2016.

Its a little awkard to be on the same side of an issue as the Taliban, but we do both want the the US out of Afganistan.

Hopefully there's enough anti war, or at least Afghanistan war weariness left on the left that "Trump and the Taliban are on the same side!" is not a useful campaign point. Or maybe it would be better if they did. Biden running as the "10 more years" of Afgan war candidate would probably not be helpful to him.

The air of desperation from various Leftard news-outlets, politicians, and people is becoming so thick that you could cut it like fog, now.
